About this property

Gorgeous Yurt in Mountains Near Glacier National Park

When you think of Montana, a lot of us are reminded of classic films like Legends of the Fall and A River Runs Through It. Glacier Park, Flathead Lake, and the Polebridge Mercantile all come to mind as well.

Many people who visit Montana may only come once in a lifetime and it's important that you make the most out of the experience.

Our home is the quintessential Montana escape for those visiting for the first time. It's located in the mountains with no visible neighbors but still close enough to town (20 min) if you need to make a quick trip.

We are a guest ranch on 10 acres nestled in the mountains of Northwest Montana near Glacier National Park and Whitefish, Montana.

This is a large yurt; 30 feet in diameter and a total just over 700 square feet with windows all around. While staying with us, you'll have the entire space.

The interior is warm and inviting with a king and queen size bed heated with a wood stove. There is a 4-panel privacy screen if necessary and an air mattress that can be available upon request.

We have a hidden TV behind the dresser that can stream Netflix, Disney+, etc. but if you'd rather not, we stocked the scroll top desk with art supplies :)

The kitchen has everything you need: electric cooktop, blender, coffee maker, pots, pans, and all dish ware. There's a microwave and large fridge/freezer as well as a 4-person dinner table.

If you prefer to BBQ instead, you'll find a propane grill out front near the fire pit.

And, if you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll love the subtleties found around the yurt. There are 8 to be exact. If you find all of them, we have a prize for you ;)

This is truly a unique experience to stay in the mountains away from it all. Take a private, heated outdoor shower in the forest and look up to see nothing but tree tops and blue sky.

Just a few feet from your seasonal shower (May-November) is your private bathroom (year round). A clean and modern composting toilet available year round sits inside the outhouse supplied with lighting and supplies to freshen up with after using.

Upon request, our private gym is available with everything you need to stay on top of your workouts while staying with us.

Take a walk along the creek, look up and see the commanding view of Wild Horse Mountain, watch the deer and turkey foraging in the mornings, or just sit in silence by the fire with a cup of coffee.

Lastly, a 4 person jetted hot tub is available year round and located at the main house a short walk away.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Glacier retreat

Dan was an incredible host. Sharing his knowledge of the local area and GNP, shuttle driver, and pristine property. The space he created is warm, relaxing, comfortable and homey. We were sad to leave - sitting on the yurt porch reading or by the fire pit (quiet and close to nature). The use of the workout room was an added bonus! The bed was extremely comfortable! A special place!
