Fantastic space, hosts were very kind and quick to respond. Very clean and comfortable and in a very easy to locate area! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away for a little R&R
Unique spot to call home while exploring Minuteman National Park! Host did a wonderful job with communicating instructions and expectations. Lots to see and do in the area!
The place was clean but very small. There was very few places to put anything. Very cozy.

Charming and impeccably clean place to stay for a quick trip out to the Greater Boston Area for travel and exploration. Easy access to main roads and visiting Kimball Farm for some great ice cream right down the road is an absolute must!
A very talented person put this space together and utilized every inch of space. Everything you could need is provided. We arrived a day early to attended an event at the Wayside Inn. The location was perfect as we did some site seeing to Concord center, Kimball’s ice cream and Monument Park.
Intimate, thoughtfully designed hideaway for two short stay travelers. Very clean, good communication. Some glitches with wifi but owner was responsive. Tight quarters; comfortable overnight base rather than a place to hang out. Lovely location, short drive to Concord.

Thanks so much for your kind review! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry again for the temporary Wi-Fi glitch — the town’s electrical work caused it, but it’s all resolved now. Hope to host you again!
My boyfriend and I had a great stay here and Julie was a very kind and attentive host. We would travel to Boston during the day time as it was only about a 30-40min drive. The property and town was very peaceful and was also a nice break away from the city. The place was very cozy and the bed was incredible - we felt very rested each morning, after walking miles throughout downtown Boston each day prior. Will definitely stay here again on our next Boston trip. :)
Just what we were looking for, somewhere local to stay while our house was being worked on. Small, but definitely cozy rather than cramped. Short walk to a nice little deli, which was nice while working from "home". Would definitely stay again if we needed somewhere in the area.
This was a great place to stay. The location was perfect and I appreciated all the tourist and eating recommendations. It was close to all the Concord attractions and the train into Boston. It was a perfect space for two people. Check it out if you are in the area.
Great location when visiting the Lexington/Concord/Boston/Salem area. Well stocked property that was clean and comfortable. Good commercial with property owner. Would definitely stay again and would recomend to others.
Really well designed small studio with loft. The space is clean and cozy and in a fantastic town with a great general store and walking trails nearby. Very easy access to Concord and Lexington but without the traffic!
The owner/host is wonderful and responsive and patient. The unit is adorable and unique and well appointed. And, I would absolutely stay there again, if in the area. The unit is tough to find and VRBO, doesn't help as they didn't or wouldn't post pictures of the outside, which would help immensely. Not a big problem though because the host guided me in step-by-step with patience of an angel. If your hesitating don't this little place is a charm.

Honestly I loved everything about this property. The decor is cute and retro, it's impeccably clean, the quality of the mattresses/pillows/bedding is outstanding, farmers markets are close by, the area is beautiful, and it's just overall super cozy and warm.
My romantic vacation was totally enhanced by this charming studio/loft, and I would not only highly recommend staying here to anyone, but also would definitely book again.
There were some staffing glitches, so the place was not cleaned when we arrived late. The coffeemaker broke. The Owner responded as quickly as she could and gave us a bottle of wine—one-off events.
We needed a place to sleep for a weekend in the area. This loft-like studio including the bathroom were tiny but it was built in a very clever, modern and charming manner. It had everything we needed, and the place was quiet, clean and any equipment needed was working well.
My husband and I were in town for my high school reunion in Concord and this little loft was perfect for our needs! Bed was comfy, the apartment was very clean, and we were able to adjust temperature and humidity as needed with the a/c and air purifier units in the apartment. It was quiet and had a lovely view from upstairs! Thank you again Julia! We look forward to being back whenever we’re in town :)
Clean and well stocked for making hot beverages and our picnic dinner. Just right for one night stop on our fall sightseeing trip in the area. Bed was comfortable with very clean and fresh linens. Right on the road at a stop sign juncture so was a bit noisy, and it would be lovely to be able to open the back door to the grassy yard behind the building, and fresh air. They are remodeling other spaces so maybe there are changes in the works.

About the host
Hosted by Julie MacQueen
Hi, I’m Julie! I live in the historic center of Carlisle, Massachusetts, where I manage a few unique Airbnb and VRBO spaces that I’ve personally designed and cared for. I love creating welcoming, peaceful places for people to unwind — whether they’re visiting family, exploring New England, or just needing a quiet escape.
Hosting became a natural extension of my personality. I’ve always loved meeting people, organizing beautiful spaces, and adding thoughtful touches that make guests feel at home. When I’m not hosting, you’ll usually find me by the ocean in Maine with my husband, sailing our boat, or hiking one of the many trails around New England (I even run a Massachusetts hiking group!).
I take great pride in keeping my rentals spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked. Cleanliness and clear communication are very important to me, and I do my best to anticipate what guests might need — from good coffee to cozy bedding and local recommendations.
I feel grateful to share these spaces with travelers and to be part of the moments that bring them here — celebrations, family gatherings, or just quiet weekends away. It’s truly rewarding to know that my homes help people feel relaxed and cared for during their stay.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this neighborhood because it feels like stepping back in time while still being close to everything you need. Carlisle’s historic town center is full of charm — quiet tree-lined roads, stone walls, and old New England homes surrounded by woods and fields. It’s peaceful here, but within minutes you can be hiking conservation trails, kayaking on the Concord River, or exploring nearby towns like Concord and Lexington.
What I enjoy most about being here is the sense of calm and connection to nature. You can hear birds in the morning and see the stars at night — it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and breathe a little deeper. I also love that the community is friendly and welcoming; people wave when they pass by, and local farms and small markets give it that cozy, small-town feel.
It’s truly a special corner of Massachusetts — close enough to Boston for a day trip, yet tucked away enough to feel like a retreat.
What makes this property unique
What makes this property stand out is the combination of charm, comfort, and attention to detail. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed to feel welcoming and peaceful — from the warm lighting and cozy furnishings to the sparkling-clean spaces that make you feel instantly at home.
Because I live on-site, I’m able to make sure everything is cared for personally — fresh linens, spotless kitchens, and those little touches that make a stay feel special. Guests often tell me how quiet and relaxing it is here — surrounded by trees, gardens, and historic homes, it feels private and serene, yet you’re just a short drive from Concord, hiking trails, and great local restaurants.
It’s the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility — a place that feels tucked away but not remote. Whether you’re here for work, a getaway, or visiting family nearby, this property offers the kind of peaceful, restorative stay that’s hard to find elsewhere.
