Location was perfect for our needs. Quiet area with some beautiful scenery to explore and some wildlife in the area to watch. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Private mountain cabin centrally located to Rocky Mountain National Park, Denver, Boulder, Nederland, Eldora, Golden and local casinos. Cabin was perfect for our first visit to Colorado area.
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin nested in the beautiful woods of Colorado. The place was clean and well equiped and location was awesome! Just 15 min drive from Nederlands town which has great Nepalese restaurant as well as nice bar with smoked wings. Cal was very quick to respond. Highly recommend!
This cabin is just as described. Local fox family visits every morning. Saw more moose while here than anywhere else in CO. Calvin was quick to respond and David, the property care taker, was an amazing guy all around, super helpful and knowledgeable. Would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your cabin!guy.
Honey Bear was the perfect cabin for a summer family adventure vacation. We were ages 18 - 69 and were able to do so much within 15 miles - hike, fish, eat and shop. Some days we had softball in Boulder or a bike tour in Frisco or golf in Evergreen and we couldn’t ask for a better location. A family of fox visit the neighbor every night, moose and mama live down the road, and there was even a bear in the neighborhood when we were there. Our host was very responsive and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a more laid-back, authentic, summer mountain experience! We would definitely return.
This place is perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the mountains. The beds were comfortable, and amenities were as promised. Starlink for Wifi worked out well (unless everyone was streaming). Just have to remember you can't expect city-broadband and modern-house plumbing in the woods! Would return again.
We truly enjoyed our stay in the mountains! The area was beautiful and quiet. The house suited all our needs, but there was one mis-listed item and that is that it does not have AC. There was one overly warm day that it would have been helpful, but we made do and were not too uncomfortable with windows open. Could use a deep cleaning but nothing was terribly bad. Neighbor was nice and wildlife was abundant. Foxes and chipmunks daily, saw a moose up the road and deer from the home. Overall, would stay again and had a wonderful stay!
This property is located in the perfect spot. If you love hiking or biking then this house is perfect as the Golden Gate State park is a short drive away. We spotted several deer roaming around near the house. The hike up hill behind the cabin is well worth the effort as the views are spectacular at the top. The house has an open floor plan and the internet connection was great. It offers all of the comforts of home and the host is very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Thanks you Calvin.
The cabin/house was enjoyed! The host was easy to communicate with and responsive to needs and questions. Some minor recommendations were offered to the host as critiques on the stay, but they could be easily accommodated. Those included that the dishes seemed to need a rinse from lacking recent use, a drying rack near the sink would be handy to accommodate family sized groups, the massage table in the listing was unavailable due to being broken without notice to the renting tenant which offered some disappointment, and a few creature comforts that we would have traditionally expected were absent and would have more easily been picked up in town before arriving, instead of arriving to find them absent. I would stay here again.
We had an amazing time, wonderful cabin! The hosts were great with communication and just a beautiful place to stay!
