NOTE: Our home sleeps 10, but due to county rules, we must advertise occupancy for only 8. You're welcome to bring up to 10 overnight guests—just bring extra towels.

Great Family Get away

As a family, this was perfect- great location, water access wonderful and house very accommodating to a family. Beautiful view of Smith Mtn Lake from every room-so everyone was happy! We will be back!

Awesome Stay at Starbird!

Gorgeous home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids loved having the lower level to themselves. Awesome lake views from every room. Seamless process and a wonderful stay. Seth was very responsive. We will be back for sure!

Had a wonderful time with childhood friends and their children. The house is well done both design and decorating. Views are awesome and fun for tween/teen kids on kayaks/paddle boards. Great location to state park for hikes. Perfect place for a long weekend get away.

Beautiful views, clean and minimalist house but well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. Seth was very accommodating. Note that you do need to bring or order sheets separately. Already talking about renting again.

Perfect for our family

The Starbird was the perfect size and layout for our family get together of six adults and two young children. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and necessities that were not on my packing list. The fishermen in the family enjoyed catching bass and sunfish off the dock. We enjoyed s'mores around the fire pit. Beautiful sunsets closed out the day and the sky was brilliant at night with a stars and a few planets. Thank you for the perfect house at a wonderful location.

Super Spot

We had a wonderful stay. Children and grandchildren had a great time swimming from the dock and using the provided kayaks an paddle boards. The cove was quiet and provided a good area to enjoy the water out of the way of boat traffic. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped and bedding was comfortable for all of us. It was great to have shaded area on the dock and screened in porch at the house.

Amazing Experience!

Starbird at SML is a gem!!! Clean, beautiful, convenient and had a spectacular view. This property accommodated two families comfortably. Love the dual living areas and spacious bedrooms. The dock is perfect and lots of fun. Kayaks and paddle boards were a definite plus! I highly recommend this fabulous home.

Look no further!

This house was absolutely amazing! The owner was super responsive to everything, including one small issue with the dock lights which was quickly resolved. Super clean house, has everything you would need for the kitchen, & awesome dock. The house is also within walking distance of Parkway Marina which is an added bonus. We had 4 adults & 6 kids on our trip and still had extra space. Solo stove for campfires/smores, nice Weber grill, kayaks, & paddle boards. 10/10 would recommend!

Best vacation

This was an amazing property and plenty of room, dishes and things to do for 4 adults and 7 kids 19-13 years old. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked every day while looking out at the lake through expansive windows. Every bedroom had a view of the lake! The dock was perfect to tie the boat to and the kids really enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. The dock is in a cove and the water was calm and the kids swam off the dock all week. Voted best vacation by several in this extended family group.
