Winter Notes: -During the winter months the cabin may be difficult to access due to weather on Summit Lane. It will be plowed and maintained after each winter storm, but during those months an all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
The hot tub is drained and refilled regularly to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. During the winter months especially, it can take some time for the water to heat up if the hot tub has been refilled, or if the temperature has been turned down significantly.

The cabin was everything we wanted for a quiet get away with our dogs. It is kept in extremely good condition and the owner is extremely attentive with anything you could need for your stay. This is our second trip to the cabin and we will be coming back again!
Everything was just perfect! Super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved it soMuch we stayed an extra day at the lastMinute. The owner was super accommodating.
This cabin had everything we needed for our stay and the host is wonderful. The setting was peaceful and private while still being located a short drive to area attractions. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Picked this property because I was traveling with my German shepherd and didn't want to deal with a hotel. Very comfy and pet friendly. My gps did have a little trouble navigating to it, but the directions provided made up for it. Would definitely recommend
The cabin was clean and cozy. The location is great. The bed was comfortable. It rained during our stay and it was still a good time playing board games, watching DVDs, and hiking at Hocking hills. Would stay here again.
The property was nicely kept and Max was a great host! He quickly responded to all of my questions during the stay. The fireplace was wonderful while watching movies and playing games.
My husband, our dog, and I had such a nice time! The cabin was very clean and welcoming. Max, the host, was great to work with and had all the necessities well stocked. Our older dog loved the private hiking trail on the property, and we enjoyed lots of indoor and outdoor fires. Can’t wait to visit again!
All in all the cabin was perfect. I do believe it needs some lighting on the staircase as my wife slipped on the corner at the end and hurt her toe our last night.
Wonderful cabin with all the amenities. We even saw a couple of deer early one morning walking down the gravel road leading up to Tanglewood. Majestic!
We had a wonderful stay at Tanglewood. We would highly recommend this location and cabin. Max was very helpful and responsive ahead of time which was much appreciated. The cabin was clean and had everything we might need for a relaxing weekend away. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, along with the hot tub and games! It was also a perfect spot for our dog to come along. Book here for a perfect cozy cabin getaway :)
This place is fantastic! Lovely cabin with lots of amenities provided. Wood available for purchase for the indoor fireplace or outside fire pit. We spent our days walking the trails at Hocking Hills with our dog. Cabin is a close drive to those trails. The owner, Max, is very helpful and quick to respond if needed. Highly recommend!!
Came to celebrate our 25th anniversary…. Cabin was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. Clean and with all necessary amenities for a get away. Drive in to cabin is scenic and gravel but easily traversed during summer. Cabins are close but with plenty of distance for privacy. Weather was rainy during our stay and we didn’t utilize the fire ring but the fireplace was wonderful. Hot tub was clean and warm and nice to relax in after hocking in the rain. We will be using these cabins for our future trips.
We can't say enough! The cottage was adorable and well maintained. There were plenty of towels and all the necessities. The trees were colorful along with the scenic drive making the experience precisely what we hoped for. Ah...and the hot tub was an added, relaxing bonus.
A delightful mini vacation was had by the four of us...two adults, two doaggies.
Thank you!

This property is exceptional. The cabin my husband and I stayed in was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and it had everything we needed for the light cooking we did. There were 3 other structures(cabins) on the Summit but far enough away where we had privacy but close enough that if we had a family gathering we would be close enough to walk to each cabin. The hiking trail on the property was an easy walk in the woods with a little playground. We enjoyed that hike a couple times while we were there. We definitely plan on returning to this site with our granddaughter. Max is a great host and he was quick with his response to my questions. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay in any of their 4 cabins/barn!
Our first visit to Hocking Hills and this cabin was perfect. We appreciate all the little touches that made our stay fabulous. We enjoyed a fire outside in the pit, inside another night for a cozy evening, and the hot tub was so nice after hiking during the day. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

We are Abby and Emma, sisters who grew up in Athens, Ohio, and our husbands, Max and Matt, who are both also Ohio born and raised. We all began dreaming and planning for Summit Haven years ago. All of us have spent lots of time taking in the beauty and peace of the region, and wanted to find a place where not only could we come for a refuge from the daily grind of life, but where we could invite others to do the same.
We are so thrilled to have found this wooded property tucked up in the hills that truly does feel like a haven from all the busyness of life. It’s the perfect place to find peace and solitude in the woods, and we are so happy to be the stewards of this magical place.
We operate and maintain Summit Haven as a family. Of course, that goes beyond just the four of us (and the six boys we have between us). We are so fortunate to have family and friends who have helped, supported, and encouraged us on this journey.
It is our sincere hope that you make special memories with your own friends and family at Summit Haven. We are so excited to share it with you!
