Welcome to The Elm Street Inn, an 18th century house with modern amenities. The house is across from Smith College and a short walk to Downtown Northampton. LGBTQ friendly. Everyone is welcome. This is a beautiful decorated suite with a jacuzzi tub and shower. The jet is not working inside the jacuzzi.

Amazing Stay in Northampton

The space was exactly as advertised AND MORE. It is an amazing place to stay while in Northampton, within 15 minutes walking distance to the downtown where almost all the attractions are located. I came to this suite for a wedding and it is amazing. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a place to stay in Northampton.

Perfect Sanctuary

The weather was beautiful, so the main room was full of bright sunlight during the days. I enjoyed soaking in the large tub a couple of evenings and spent some time in town enjoying music and a show. This was just what I needed to decompress for a few days as I prepared to start a new job.

Great location and value. Furnishings are basic but the bed is comfortable and the location is great. Communication is excellent and host fixed an internet issue immediately. I will definitely look forward to returning. Could have a better more accessible coffee maker would be my only suggestion :)

perfect for a Smith alum

I was back in Northampton to participate in an event at my alma mater, Smith College, and this was the perfect location. I loved being in a historic home with its wide-plank floorboards while still having modern amenities like a whirlpool tub and heated towel rack. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean and tidy. I also loved having off-street parking for my car, which stayed parked as I could easily walk around campus and downtown. I hope to stay here again on future trips to Northampton.

Beautiful, cozy NE saltbox directly across from Smith College--easy, lighted parking, keypad doors so no keys to fuss over. Well lighted, beautifully furnished. Nice table and chairs on the landing to have a take out meal if need be. Warm, cozy rooms with very comfortable beds, everything you need for coffee and tea in the morning. Clean as a whistle and such a lovely hostess who kept in touch with me all weekend. I will be back.

I don't often do reviews, but I will make an exception for Elm Suite, as it was a just-right visit of 3 nights & I had everything I needed, plus a luxurious jacuzzi bath. XianXia was always helpful in many ways. The room was comfortable, cozy, a good nest for my outing, the location close enough to downtown Northampton I could walk, & across the street from Smith which has so much to enjoy if you're visiting, including a trail along Mill Creek, gardens, the new library. So yes, I would recommend Elm Suite.
