My family and I had a wonderful stay at the boathouse. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was always available to help when needed. We would definitely stay there again.
Calvin was the perfect host, the Boathouse was just as advertised even better. Very relaxing it was equipped with everything we needed. We will certainly pass on the Boathouse to all our Friends & Family. We’ll definitely be back again

The Boat House surpassed all of our expectations! It was situated so perfectly. We had access to Windward Beach and had a great dock for our rental boat. The house is decorated beautifully and had a well appointed kitchen. The outside sitting area was surrounded with gorgeous trees and flowers and was a wonderful space to enjoy a meal and beautiful sunsets each evening! 10 out 10 for location, privacy and responsive hosts!
Just returned from a fantastic stay at The Boathouse in Treasure Cay. My wife and I crossed over in our boat from Florida and stayed for seven nights. The Boathouse exceeded our expectations with the best views, easy and sheltered docking and great property owners. Ian came down and gave us directions to some great places to eat and snorkel. My wife and I cannot say enough nice things about our visit to The Boathouse, Treasure Cay and the Abacos. We will definitely be returning to The Boathouse and The Abacos in the future.
We have spent 4 nights in this wonderful cottage and 6 days in the owner’s 3 bedroom apartment that is on the same property. Both experiences were extraordinary. The owners were sow nice and helpful and their property is very well maintained and gorgeous. Just across the street you find the beach and the canal is easy access for paddle boarding and kayaking provided by the owner. Treasure Cay is rebuilding and there is a good vibe to this secluded beach paradise. I do recommend both rentals without hesitation if you are looking for a luxury and relaxing vacation. We will be back soon. 1000 thanks.
We had the best week at The Boathouse! Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, fully-stocked kitchen, excellent outdoor space and plenty of room to dock your boat. Our hospitable hosts, Suzanne and Ian, were always willing to answer questions and provide recommendations from their vast local knowledge. Excellent communication all around and easy check-in/check-out. Just steps from the front door, we explored the water via paddleboard and kayak. Spotted fish, turtles, rays, dolphins and even a small shark! We also rented a car and boat during our stay, which allowed access to the rest of Great Abaco and surrounding Cays. The Boathouse was a perfect hub for adventures by land and sea. All of Abaco is spectacular, but Treasure Cay is especially beautiful. Already dreaming of our next visit!
My husband, 12yo daughter and I stayed in the boat house for 6 nights and it was absolutely amazing! It was exactly as advertised, peaceful with beautiful views. We were able to enjoy the beach across the street from the Boathouse and watched a spectacular sunrise. We even saw a sea turtle swim around the cove just off the dock. We watched the fish from the living room window which was a favorite thing for our daughter to do in the evenings. We ate at the Bahama Beach Club that is a short golf cart ride up the street and enjoyed searching for seashells and other ocean treasures at their beach. Suzanne and Ian were gracious hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We had a hiccup with our rental car and Suzanne helped us get to the local market in Treasure Cay to purchase the necessities until we were able to get to the grocery store in March Harbour. I would highly recommend staying at the boathouse if you are planning a vacation to Abaco Island.
The property is known as "Ocean Blu" because of the color of the house and sign in the driveway. They own two big houses and a "boat house". We booked the boathouse cottage, but was upgraded to the downstairs of the main house which consisted of big bedrooms and a single bath. Our hosts, Calvin and Denise are wonderful. They met us when we arrived, showed us the house and property, and made sure we had everything we needed. Even helped us carry our luggage to the house. The house was very clean and exactly as described, it's all new construction and the AC works really well. The boat dock is well protected from wind and waves and easily accommodated my 30' cc on the short side of the dock which is limited to a 9' beam. The other side of the dock accommodated a 42' Invincible CC. They have an agreement with the empty lot owner across the street and we walked over there to enjoy the beach. They had 3 lounge chairs there for us. There is also a nice sandbar near the entrance to the canal and we enjoyed a couple late afternoons there. The canal is full of juvenile turtles (about 2-3 feet long). We counted 15 on our first day. There is a great fuel dock two canals over, so it was easy to get fuel and ice when needed. We rented a car instead of a golf cart and it was well worth the few extra dollars (AC and no worry about the afternoon rain). Sunset Pizza has great pizza, calzone and wings. Cafe La Florence has a great breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Had a great time!
We loved our stay and visit at this property. My husband, teenage daughter and I came over from Stuart, FL by boat and lived at this amazing house for an entire week. It was the perfect size for us and location in Treasure Cay couldn't have been more perfect. The homeowner Ian was phenomenal and even let us use his washer and dryer when all of our belongings were soaked while crossing in a boat. If you like cozy and togetherness then don't hesitate in booking this place. We cooked every night and admired the beautiful sunset view. This place had it all! We even had a wonderful, friendly manatee visit with us while we were there. Thank you for the great amenities and hospitality!! We will definitely be back for another visit!
The Boat House was perfect for our trip, a few days away enjoying the Bahamas beaches and blue waters. Our hosts Suzanne and Ian couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Their "cottage" was exactly as advertised, it's perfect for 2 people and the outdoor space is like another living room.
Overall, the only disappointment was that the area is still so devastated by Dorian, and only 1 real restaurant has reopened. Hoping to see that change within the next year. The pool/beach club restaurant at Bahamas Bay Resort was good for both lunch and dinner, but would have been nice to have other options.
We arrived by boat, and found excellent dockage! Husband & I were surprised by our son & his beautiful wife (they didn’t want to miss out on a new adventure) & we all fit fine. Beautifully decorated and everything you need to enjoy your stay. (All the kitchen items & spices you can imagine) we played on the beach, fished & golf carted around. On the quiet end of Treasure Cay but I felt safe and totally relaxed. Be careful you will start dreaming about living here!
The Boathouse was peaceful, clean, comfortable and perfect for myself and my husband during our stay in Treasure Cay. The purpose of our trip was to work on our own home, so having a lovely place to retire at the end of the day was such an added bonus! The photos are accurate, it’s located directly on the canal, a short cart ride to Brigantine Beach and the center of town. For those familiar with Treasure, the Boathouse is in a private, residential neighborhood, preferable to staying in one of the condo complexes, with neighbors closely surrounding. We had our own grill, large outdoor table and sandy backyard. Suzanne was very helpful and receptive to our needs We would love to stay again!
