Fish Inn on Upper Hat Creek in Old Station

2 BR house bordering on Lassen National Forest with Hat Creek 100 feet out the back door. Comfortable accommodations, full kitchen, perfect for family. Sleeps 5 plus child: Queen Bed in Bedroom, Full-sized Futon in living room, twin bed with trundle in small bedroom. Front porch and private back deck for enjoying the beauty of the mountains. Pets allowed with additional deposit. On a quiet street, bordered by Lassen National Forest.
14 miles from North Entrance to Lassen National Park (nearest to Manzanita Lake area). 33 miles from Burney Falls. Subway Cave 1/4 mile. Spattercone Trail 1 mile away.

Fishing on the creek about 100 yards out the back door on Upper Hat Creek. Creek is stocked regularly in season (last weekend in April - Nov. 15). Winter fishing is catch and release, barbless hooks only. Fly Fishing is spoken here Some equipment, flies, float tubes available. 14 Miles from Manzanita Lake, 20 miles from Baum Lake and many other great fishing spots.

Peaceful mountain getaway. Fenced yard with Propane BBQ grill and fire pit for evening relaxation. Shaded front porch. Gas barbecue and fire pit in back yard for your evening campfires. This is a dark sky area so the stars are magnificent. You will often see the Milky Way! Free Wi-Fi and Satellite TV, DVD player and some DVDs provided, games and puzzles . Cell service can be sketchy; hardline phone provided.

Pets permitted with additional deposit of $50 per pet.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely little home. It had everything we needed for a couple of days exploring Lassen Volcanic National Park. The kitchen worked well for cooking and eating, even as a family of five, and we enjoyed roasting s’mores over the fire pit. Joann was hostess extraordinaire; she was so friendly and very willing to accommodate a couple of unique requests we had. She gave us some great recommendations for hikes in Lassen Volcanic as well as local areas to explore (Subway Cave Lava Tube and the trail behind the house along the creek, which our preteens and teen loved). We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Just wonderful! I agree with all the reviews before me. My children are already asking to go back. Joann and also her helper Tess were great hosts. We visited Lassen easily from Fish Inn (loved Lassen too!) Just be aware that Old Station is pretty small- it was more rural than I realized it would be- which was perfect, but I’m glad we made a thorough grocery stop before heading into the area and the cabin is stocked with so many things too. We had a great stay!

Shocked by the pristine location, you can hear Hat Creek and be in the finest place for exploring, hiking and fishing without having to drive. Fast internet, sat TV and you can sign in to netflix, and has a phone. Comfortable all around.

Quiet Retreat

Easy check in. Greeted by Joann upon arrival and given some information on the tv, coffee pot etc. The cabin feels very spacious and has a nice view of the forest out back. The heater kept the cabin at a cozy temperature. I will definitely be back.

We got the opportunity to purchase the house next door and make it into a comfortable vacation rental to share our love of the area.

Sit in the shade on the front porch and look out onto the sage and pines of the high mountain desert environment. Walk out through the back yard gate 100 yards to great fishing on Hat Creek. 2 Bedrooms, open Kitchen/Living area that looks out through sliding doors to the forest in back.
