Pam and Michael have a beautiful and tranquil setting. Even though it is beautifully setup as an event venue, it is an incredible off-season getaway just to detach and recharge. The Host are both very personable, bringing their East Coast flare to East Texas. The setup is very much a laid back country setting, a comfy bed and breakfast in the morning by chef Pam. We look forward to returning.

Weekend Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay and the dinner was fantastic! Perfect location to get away from the stress of the busy city. The cleanliness of the cabin was lacking and I would prefer taking showers vs baths. There was a keurig in the cabin but there were no k-pods. There was a bucket on top of the microwave but it had trash in it. But just my opinion. All in all was a great stay and did I mention the food...wonderful!

A hidden gem!

This was a definite hidden gem! While this is an obvious jewel for wedding venues, it is so much more. My husband and I enjoyed a secluded 10 year anniversary night stay. We enjoyed a warm, cozy, quiet cabin; and couldn’t for the life of us even think about our work or home lives. We just existed in another place, The food!?!? The meal we were served personally took me to a place that I can only describe as appreciation of what was prescribed to us on, and in the Earth. The flavors, aromas, textures took me beyond the next food plane, to a place I’ve never been. If you haven’t been here, my advice is….go!

Wonderful and Peaceful Getaway Destination

We stayed at Elmwood Gardens Honeymoon cottage for a 3 night birthday getaway. It is a wedding/event venue property with the most amazing, kind and caring hosts-Michael and Pam! We had delicious gourmet breakfast each morning and did the “Foodie Adventure” they offer for an additional charge and WOW! Pam is a renown chef and her husband Michael assisted in serving us a fabulous 5 course meal for my birthday. Absolutely incredible, unforgettable and intimate experience! The cottage has a rustic but charming and comfortable feel and the old fashioned tub was relaxing. The property is spacious and offers numerous beautiful structures and statues for pictures. We can’t wait to return sometime when the trees and flowers are in full bloom. It looks to be breathtakingly beautiful from wedding pictures we saw. Definitely a unique and hidden gem! Thanks Pam and Michael for a memorable time!

Could be better

We love the country and the place is in a country setting. However we were told this place was used for wedding venue's and such like occasions. There's no way..... The grounds were unkept, ponds were dried up and dirty. Our room had not been freshly cleaned in weeks. I say this because there were dried flying insects all over the bed. Has two window units. Unable to keep up during the day. We just expected more for the price for sure.
