Sandsjön is connected with Uppsjön. Outdoor vacation living is possible on several altans. Hilly cultivated landscape with pastures and fields. For fishing go to the nearby lake Nömmen. Also only a few kilometers away is an inn in Sandsjöfors, where you can have a good lunch. Worth seeing is the Äventyrhuset Boda Borg in Sävjö. The well-preserved wooden town of Eksjö is 30 km away. Lake Uppsjön, 5 km south of Bodafors is a destination for birdwatchers.
