This apartment had bugs that were everywhere including in the beds!!! It was a horrible experience and we left on 5/7/26 instead of 5/9/26 due to the Infestation of bugs!!!

We stayed for several days while visiting New Orleans. Host was very responsive and helpful. Lounge across the street could be busy but never too noisy inside the home. Street parking was always available. It’s a pretty easy walk to a streetcar stop. All in all it was a comfortable place to sleep.

We had such a great time during jazz fest. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, but the space wasn’t available during the last weekend. It was great getting to catch back up with my old neighborhood in New Orleans. How I love this city… Thank you so much for the beautiful apartment. We met everybody on this street. Such a nice people. We even left our van door open by mistake, overnight and one night, one of our windows down on the van full of gear and personal belongings. Nobody touched it except to walk over and close the door and lock the door for us. Such a nice People. We’re coming back to have a jam session with the neighbor later this week. So funky, so nice. I love Marlyville/Fontainebleau… the Rockin bowl, the Maple Leaf………..

The home was clean, but there was no body wash or bar soap, so bring your own. The Keurig machine didn’t work and only made lukewarm coffee. Saturday night Dixieland band at Margie’s Lounge was cool. AC was blowing cold the whole time, the host said to message them if we needed it changed, but we like it cold.

Great price and very affordable for the package that comes with it. Though questionable at first, it is situated in a great neighborhood with good people. The property did have some deficiencies such as the bathroom sink drain not working, but imo did not take away too much. Host also left generous gifts and information on places to eat, see, etc. Would come back again 100%.

There are a lot of good things about this apartment (it’s actually half of a duplex) We were staying a week so we wanted a place with a decent living area and a kitchen. We only needed one bedroom so the second one was a bonus. We used it as a closet as the only closet in the bedroom was small and full of spare bedding. The kitchen was well maintained and all the appliances worked. The bedroom was average size and the bed was a queen. The main issue we had was that the apartment was half of a duplex and the owner revealed the first night of our stay that the only thermostat in the building was in the other half of the building. We had no control over the temperature. We were surprised but it was too late to go somewhere else. We told him we weren’t going to be there much during the day so we weren’t worried about then, but we needed the nighttime temperatures in the low 60’s as we’re older and don’t sleep well when it’s warm. He promised he would take care of it. The first 2 nights the weather was cool so it wasn’t a problem, but the weather turned warmer and we didn’t get much sleep. Either the A/C didn’t work, or it wasn’t turned on. The bed didn’t have a top sheet, just a comforter, so we couldn’t just sleep under the sheet. The house is across the street from a “Supper club/party room so street parking when they are open is hit or miss. Several nights when we returned home we had to park a block down the street. For these reasons we can’t recommend it.

I had a 5 night stay. We enjoyed our stay. I was there alone for 2 days. Scared at first because it's in the middle of a neighborhood but I didn't have any problems with anyone. They all seemed very nice really. Everything we were interested in was only 15 minutes away so that was a plus. I basically had the same parking spot the entire week so no problems with parking though I did ask a neighbor on their porch was it alright to park in front of her home and she didn't have a problem with it. Others commented about the neighborhood bar on the corner but, they're only open 4 days a week and they close pretty early. I could NOT hear loud music while sitting in the living room. All-in-all: we enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here for future visits.
