The apartment is fantastic for a small group! Exactly as advertised. We loved sitting lakefront, enjoying the casino, walks and relaxing in the evenings!
We had an awesome relaxing stay here. Beautiful lake, did some fishing, sat by the fire pit, went on walks, visited the zoo. And just overall enjoyed the quick getaway. Everything was very nice . Thank you so much :)

Thank you for coming and staying with us. 😀 Hope to see you again.
Thank you again.
Nice quiet lake, and home. On a dead end street, so not a lot of vehicles, or homes. Very relaxing. The host, Shann, was very friendly, and accomodating. Fun place to stay.

Hope you had a good trip home. Thank you for letting me know. More baking items will be put in the kitchen. We had communications during your stay. Had the bake items been communicated I would have gotten those for you. The other requests were granted and taken care of quickly. I always tell anyone who stays to let me know of any questions and concerns, if possible, I will take care of quickly.
Thank you for staying. See you again.
From the moment that we arrived at this property, we were immediately impressed with the location, the view, and the house itself. Everything was exactly as described and the host, Shann, had great communication before and during our stay. The beds, pillows, and furniture were all very comfortable. There were also fully stocked kitchen shelves (pans, dishes, spices, etc), two TVs, and plenty of towels. The outside lake view is absolutely gorgeous and includes plenty of seating areas in quiet backyard. If you want a peaceful, low key getaway, where you know that the host has great communication and truly cares about her guests, then this is the place for you.
Lovely lake front location, beautiful drive through rural countryside. I was surprised this is a triplex property and that the small apartment is a portion of a walkout basement. The furnishings are largely old uncomfortable pieces. It is a simple cottage apartment. My family & I enjoyed it but feel the description is not clear. The host allowed us use of the water equipment which was great. We had a nice time......

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m so glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed the lakefront setting, the peaceful countryside drive, and had a great time using the water equipment!
I truly appreciate your feedback regarding the property description and furnishings. The living room furniture and mattresses are new. I’m sorry to hear that some aspects didn’t meet your expectations. I’ll take your comments into consideration and work on making the listing clearer—especially about the layout and style of the space—so future guests can book with an accurate understanding.
Your input is valuable, and I’m happy you still had a nice time overall. Wishing you and your family all the best on your future travels!

Location is nice
We stayed between Christmas and New Years so I cant say a lot about the lake or property as we used it as a place to sleep. If you like hard beds this will be comfortable for you. The shelves were pretty bare of the normal essentials you find in a VRBO. Hair dryer was missing but thankfully the owner was upstairs and we were able to get one from her, that we kept in the unit. Quiet neighborhood. Heat was good.

This is a newer vrbo. We believe Winter time is beautiful by the lake. It is private neighborhood. Step out of the race and pause in a Fresh, clean, simple and relaxing place with all necessities for your stay. But also close to a lot of things to do. Mattresses are new with added padding. A Cupboard full of spices, sprays and oils. If anyone needs anything we are able to be reached and respond quickly. We continue to add and hope all those who visit will like being apart of the Graham House by the lake. 🦢
This little lakeside apartment/cottage was exactly the space we needed for our time in Michigan. All the creature comforts of home situated in a super quiet, wooded setting near the lake. Host, Shann was easy-going, flexible and very accommodating. We needed a place that offered space for my daughter and I to relax and spread out a bit but also to host a small family gathering. Shann's place was perfect!

I grew up in the Battle Creek area and have always loved the peace and relaxation of life on the lake. My family and I enjoy sharing this piece of country with others, and it means a lot to us when guests can unwind, play, and feel at home here.
Why they chose this property
This lake and wooded neighborhood has always been a part of my roots. It’s quiet, full of nature and wildlife, and yet close to everything in town. I chose it because it offers the best of both worlds—peaceful surroundings with easy access to restaurants, shops, and local attractions.
What makes this property unique
This home sits at the end of a private road tucked between a cornfield and a pasture, giving it a true country feel while still being minutes from shops, restaurants, and local attractions. Guests can enjoy peaceful mornings watching wildlife, spend the day fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, or kayaking on the lake, and end the evening by the fire pit under the stars. The blend of quiet seclusion, lakefront fun, and close proximity to Battle Creek’s rich history and bike trails makes this property a ONE OF A KIND retreat.
