Honestly can’t say enough good things about this house. It is stocked with absolutely everything you need. It is clearly loved by the owners and VERY well kept. The communication was the best we have ever experienced. You truly only need to bring yourself and your clothes and head to the grocery store just a few miles down the road. No neighbors, quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything you need. Thanks for making our trip so GREAT!

This beautiful cottage was in an awesome location, right on the lake and very private. It was a great place to spend a peaceful week with my family, including an infant baby and dog. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to cook some meals at the house, including some kitchen staples. We didn't do any of the nearby activities but we did visit a few restaurants for dinner in Rockland, Brunswick and Damariscotta. All were @ 20-30 minutes drive and excellent. The closest place, Jefferson Market, was less than 10 minutes away and a great place for breakfast. We hope to make this an annual trip!

The view and the light are extraordinary, and the sound of the lake lapping at the shore just outside is very pleasant and peaceful. The host was friendly and responsive, and the house itself is furnished in tasteful and comfortable style. It’s a beautiful setting overall. The downside for us is that it was a very hot week and the upstairs was impossibly hot, with AC in only one of the bedrooms. Shading the windows was not effective for keeping the upstairs bedrooms a reasonable temperature. Also, the mattress in the bedroom directly facing the lake is objectively bad. That said, the light and the view make this house a pleasure to be in. The kitchen is well stocked and the kayaks are the best I’ve used in my many Maine house on a lake vacays.

Beautifully redone home off the beaten path. Home was very clean and had everything we needed. You cannot get much closer to the water than this. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Everyone had a great time. Home is set up very well for a family of four or for entertaining a few friends.

Such a lovely spot right on the lake. We stayed in colder weather, but the house was cozy and the heat worked well. The house had everything we needed. We so enjoyed our stay!

The setting was beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked. The place was really clean. I would definitely rent this place again. We were there in April; the weather was cold. I thought that extra blankets and throws in living room would have been nice. Could have used more toilet paper, we ending up buying some. There was only one additional roll in each bathroom. Not enough for a family of six, with children.

We rented the house on Lake Damariscotta for an extended Labor Day weekend to join a family reunion being held in Waldoboro. My adult children and husband and I had such a wonderful, relaxing time! The house is beautiful and the Lake is pristine! The kids loved turning off all of the lights in the house at night and sitting on the dock, talking, listening to the loons call and watching the stars. The light pollution is nonexistent! The supermarket was about a 15 minute drive away and the house had all we needed to prepare breakfasts and lunches for us all. (dinners were out with our extended family nearby) The beds were comfortable, shower hadgood water pressure and 2 toilets were key for 8 people. We did an oyster cruise on Damariscotta River, ate at Moody's on our way out of town (the pie is just delicious - a rare treat for sure) and purchased some beautiful handmade wooden items at the Maine Prison Showroom nearby.The best part of the stay was THE VIEW! We woke early every morning just to watch the birds, listen to the call of the loon, watch an occasional motorboat (friendly waves), read and just relax. We did a family puzzle provided which is key to getting the adults unplugged! We really loved this house and would definitely rent again if ever in the area.Communication with the renters was excellent - very attentive and texted us upon arrival and departure to review any concerns (none). The check in instructions and things to do in area was comprehensive.
