This property is exactly as described - comfortable, roomy, and clean. Host is a great communicator. We had to kill a few bugs (as the listing said we might). We made one big mistake in not leaving a porch light on when we went out after dinner. Arriving back in the dark and rain was quite a challenge, but our own fault for not turning a light on at the house. Otherwise, a good stay. And just ten minutes from IUP
It was a nice quiet stay and very affordable. The owner had great communication and told me about the ammenities to offer with my stay. I give it a thumbs up and plan on staying again if needed when family stays in town.
Way up in the hills was just what we were looking for. Very remote. It was perfect for our weekend fishing trip. We'll definitely stay here again next time
Host had very good communication and was up front about everything. We didn’t realize there was no wifi so that threw us for a loop but wasn’t that big a deal for only staying the night. There was roof leak that the host warned us about and repaired before we got there. Overall we had a good trip and loved how secluded the area was!
The weekend was a total flop, ended up by myself, then had family issues and had to cut my stay short. BUT the place itself was perfect and I would definitely recommend it. I was able to fit in a trip to buttermilk falls which is just 20 minutes away.
We had a wonderful stay and hated to leave! The place was clean and very comfortable. It was very roomy for the 4 of us. Had everything we needed. The absolute best part was the peace and quiet!! The porch was covered so we were able to sit outside when it rained. Coffee on the porch every morning was very peaceful and a great way to start the day. We did a little grilling and had a nice dinner around the table and ended the day around the campfire, thanks for the nice dry wood it made the perfect fire. The kids liked looking at the fish in the pond and running around the spacious land. Drove 5 minutes to the trout fishing stream, caught some nice trout and my son caught a pike! Good thing there was a washer and dryer, both kids fell in the water within the first 5 minutes. They claim it was an “accident” it was a warm day at least. Shower had the perfect amount of pressure and warmth. Beds were comfortable, sofas were comfy. Kids loved the Xbox. Drove about 10 minutes to Philadelphia street and did a little shopping and also went to Luigi’s restaurant in Clymer (about a 15-20 minute) my favorite restaurant!! We don’t have one bad thing to say except we hated to leave!! We would definitely go back! Thanks for a great stay and sharing your gem of a camp!!
My husband & I were long time primative campers. With 2 kids, it is not as easy to bring ALL the gear necessary for a relaxing, but fun weekend. This seemed like a good option given that this is 1 trailer on several acres. We were going to check out the trout stream, but after using the little pond to brush up on my 5 yr old's casting skills & him reeling in the largest blue gill my husband has ever seen, so he was quite content "lake side" for a good portion of the trip. I've never seen any 5 yr old, let alone mine, sit so still for so long! We had limited cell service, which wasnt a bad thing! Most of our texts were sent & received. We didnt attempt to make any calls, but def could NOT pull up a browser & we were totally OK w/ that. The trailer was perfect for the 4 of us, but as others have mentioned, more people could be accomodated. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen functional & stocked w/ basic cooking equipment, a gas grill & cofee maker. The oven gave off a different to me odor, but it wasnt anything that the 2 nearby candles & an open window couldn't fix; then I found the exhaust fan on the microwave, lol! This property definitely gives off a comfy, "deer camp" vibe, which to me, is nostalga. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to "camp" but can't do, or doesnt have a tent; or that can't
do w/o indoor plumbing. Very private & secluded. Will definitely consider this place again, especially if we're planning a stay in this relative area.
This camp is a beautiful spot to stay away for some peace, quiet and nature. The house is clean and comfortable; the surroundings can't be beat. No internet or cell service unless you walk up the hill a bit, but that was not an expectation. There is plenty of room for a family of four, five or even six. It's in the back woods, but not far from two major roads. GPS has a little trouble getting you there, but at the same time there's not really any way to get lost. If you want to get away from it all, this is the spot for you.
The camp is quiet and secluded, nestled in a very wooded, very rural, area. Because of this, mobile phone service can be a challenge to obtain.
This is an older, but roomy and comfortable, mobile home, with all of the natural conveniences of electric, running water, AC and heat at the touch of a button, so think "glamping," ie: glamour/camping, instead of luxury hotel.
Access is via a gravel road, about a mile in either way from the pavement, and the property itself is entered via a long, coarsely graveled, steep driveway; so just be aware, and go slowly and carefully, to avoid your car bottoming out.
LOTS of deer, turkey, and other forms of wildlife can (and do) appear from every direction when driving in the area, so be on the alert when coming or going. I, for one, was thankful that we didn't see or come across any bears, which frequent the area.
Lew came to deliver us some needed items on our first morning at the camp, and was an absolute delight to visit with. He was very attentive to answer our messages whenever we had a question.
We enjoyed walking up the main drive, that extends quite a way beyond the camp, and on the very sparsely traveled gravel entry road.
We only heard (can't see the road from the camp) a total of two cars pass by during our first several hours there, as we sat out on the covered deck and soaked in the quiet, lovely surroundings and sounds of the woodlands, while sipping on a refreshing cool drink.
You may want to bring along your favorite outdoor chairs, as the deck is the perfect place to savor your morning tea or coffee while planning the days' activities, and to unwind when you come back for the evening.
There is a nice fire ring, with a good supply of firewood, but due to rain, we never had the chance to use it.

Not What I Was Expecting
I wanna start by saying the property owner was GREAT!! He returned my messages quickly and was great to work with when we had the issues!!
I assume that at one time it was pretty nice. Now however it is older and there were some issues.
There was mice in the tv cabinet and overall it was not as clean and nice as the pictures make it seem.
We were in town for our grandaughters' dance recital in Indiana. This location is perfect if you like nature, solitude and relaxation, but want to be less than 10 miles from town, restaurants, shopping, etc. The owner is accommodating, friendly and easy to communicate with. If you hunt and fish, you'll love it. If you just want a quiet woodland getaway, you'll love it. We'll be regulars, for sure. Our grandson loved hiking around, playing cards, finding a box turtle, sleeping in the top bunk, etc. Thanks for a weekend of great memories.
