Upper St. Croix Lake Getaway

Where Country and Lake life meet! Located on the Upper St. Croix Lake, a 900 acre lake located in Solon Springs, WI. About 2 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities and 30 minutes south of Duluth/Superior. "Originally known as White Birch when founded in 1855, the town changed its name to Solon Springs in the early 1900s, when Thomas Solon started a spring water bottling works where Leo Creek enters the lake" (https://northcountrytrail.org)

It's the perfect place to enjoy spectacular sunsets, fish (Large mouth Bass, Small mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout and Walleye), take in nature (eagles, ducks, deer), or a dip in the lake. Minutes away from the public access that boast a wonderful picnic/grill area, natural mineral springs, ATV/snowmobile trails, and access to hiking trails, including the Brule-St. Croix Portage. Golf and local restaurants just minutes away. So many more things to do, but can't list them all - visit: https://www.visitsolonsprings.com

Our shoreline has a sandy frontage with some natural vegetation, which makes fishing from the dock perfect. We have dock space for your boat, 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks to help you enjoy your day at the lake (seasonal availability). Please bring your own life preservers - boating/paddle boating on the lake requires 1-life preserver PER person.

We are located on a quiet road, adding to your privacy. The cottage is equipped with everything you need including: fiber optic internet, smart TV, towels, pool table, gas burning fireplaces (upper and lower level), screened porch, fully equipped kitchen, and a lower level walkout. There is a washer and dryer on the main level.

No access to the garage but there is 4 parking spots.

13 minute drive to the Atrium wedding venue (about 7.4 miles). If you are attending a wedding at the Atrium please let us know. The Atrium has our information to share with guests.

Please note: when booking there are fees related to pets. Please review our policies when booking. There is a camera security system on-site(exterior). Additionally, our license requires us to get the name/address of our guests. Thank you.

This is an amazing house! Very spacious. The kitchen had every appliance you can imagine. Super clean. The owners were quick to respond to any questions. They had anything you could possibly need. I only have one tiny ding and that was maybe they could take the seaweed in the water from time to time. Ovsrall, this was an amazing place to stay. I’d stay here again in a minute!!

Cozy Getaway

I had a weekend getaway here with 6 of my girlfriends. We were incredibly comfortable in the house- it was well stocked with everything we needed. The screened in porch was wonderful protection from the bugs, while also enjoying the view and sunset over the lake. We would love to stay here again!

"It's a dream house"

As stated by my kids, ages 9 amd 12, "this is my dream house!" We enjoyed the lake and spent hours on the kayaks and paddleboats provided. The home was dog friendly and made for the perfect lake getaway!

Sooooo Peaceful!

Upper St Croix Lake Hideaway

We loved this place on Upper St Croix Lake in Wisconsin. A lovely cabin with lots of space, well equipped, clean, kitchen, and a large screen porch overlooking the beautiful lake, easy access to clear water from the dock, and less than an hour to Duluth/Superior. We spent hours floating on the Lily Pad alongside the dock, a big hit with the children, while a bald eagle sat overhead.

Beautiful wedding weekend getaway

Traveled into Solon Springs for a family wedding at The Atrium (Also very beautiful) ~ Beautiful retreat cabin for 3 of us (we probably could have had more family stay but it worked out perfectly) ~ Our host, Tracy was very helpful and made us feel right at home. Only wish we could have stayed longer :( ~ The first night of our stay it stormed pretty rough but the fireplace and pool table kept us very happy! ~ Next time we are in the area to visit family, we will definitely stay here again. Summer lake stay

Perfect stay for a week at the lake. Quiet neighborhood close to town and a few restaurants. I enjoyed the home and the yard was perfect for my small dog. The lake was clean. I heard and saw loons everyday. I saw eagles everyday. 3 season porch was perfect for the rainy day and quiet reading time. Would happily go back.
