The proximity to the the west entrance to Yellowstone was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin met our expectations. Such a beautiful area with LOTS to explore!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin! It was a pleasure to host your group!
Very clean and cozy. Communicaton was excellent. I got my truck stck in the mud and asked for help and they were there quickly and pulled me out so i could enjoy the rest of my vacation. I cant thank them enough.
Highly reccomend.
I had a very pleasant stay. Comfortable, quiet, open airy space. I enjoyed the wildlife art on the walls. The trees shade the cottage well. On a hot , high 80s full sun day the afternoon temperature in the cottage was cool and pleasant. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen worked perfectly for me, and the living area was great to relax after a long day of fishing. If it is available I will stay here again the next time I visit Island Park.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. I do hope you can come visit again.
As you know it is an amazing place to fish and explore.
Upon arrival the cabin looked abandoned due to overgrown grass and weeds overtaking property. We were not prepared for the uncommon heat that the region was experiencing. The first night was miserable.as there was 1- 28” fan and a 1 small one for my family of 4 to share. The next day we purchased another larger fan.
The listing said up to 6 could sleep here. Apparently, they truly mean sleep as there were 6 places one could sleep; however, with only 3 wash cloths I would not recommend. Thankfully we found wash cloths at a not too distant store the next day.
One reason we like to rent cabins over hotel rooms is we love doing a family breakfast each morning. There was adequate utensils, plates, and skillets, but not a kitchen towel nor dish cloth. There was a shriveled sponge that we were forced to use that first morning.
One day perhaps we will laugh about this overly rustic adventure but not today.

Letha, I live just a short distance away. I could have quickly brought you another fan and let you know the evening air is very cool so you just need to open a window to have fresh cool mountain air come in. I could have brought additional wash cloths also. Or just had you check under the sink for extras wash cloth and sponge.
Pictures show very clearly the sleeping arrangements, so I don't understand the idea they would be different than what is advertised?
lastly, yes, of coarse the "yard" has native mountain vegetation with tall wild grass. you are in the mountains not, a city with sidewalks and a lawn, just like the pictures show.
