About this property
Nature lover's paradise! Just peace, solitude, tranquility, birds & the trees!
Are you looking for a quiet, scenic getaway? A place to escape from the hustle and bustle of life? If you want some solitude, peace and quiet out in nature, then you've found the spot! Here you can wake up to the scenic view of the lake, sweet chirping of the birds, and melodious rhythm of the frogs or just watch the amazing sunrise or sunset over the horizon. Our cabins sit just a few feet from the wetland of beautiful 80 acre Miller Lake, home of beaver lodge and abundance of wildlife. If you're looking for a weekend fishing excursion, or just a safe place for the kids to run around and freely play, this is it! We're a private campground and have the only public access to this beautiful tranquil lake.
Cabins have 2 very sturdy built bunk beds to sleep 4 people... it is a very large room, 12x16 which includes a table and couple chairs. Also inside is a small fridge, microwave, air conditioner, and heat for winter. Just outside each cabin is your own personal gas grill (we provide the gas for free), picnic table and campfire ring... wood for camp fire is also free (any down wood or already chopped can be used). These semi- rustic cabins are secluded away from the main camp area and have areas close by for tent camping. Cabins do not have running water or bathrooms inside, but we have a bathhouse near by, built with cedar wood inside; and bathroom privies/pit toilets.... stocked with toilet tissue. For water, we have a old fashioned hand pump not far away with water that is safe for drinking... a couple of these are located throughout the campground. We are located on almost 200 acres of farmland, rolling hills & picturesque woodlands, with miles of trails for hiking and exploring, or bring your pedal bike to use on camp and surrounding areas, as this is the home to the Melting Mann bike race. We have rowboats kayaks, paddle boats & canoes for rent.... to fish or just for relaxation or fun. We also offer canoe & kayak guided trips. ATV's are not allowed on our campground, but our local roads in Cass county is ATV friendly.
Nearby attractions include fruit orchards, grape vineyards, ski resort, and we're about 15 minutes from a larger town with Meijers and Walmart, and about 1 hour from Lake Michigan and just 30 minutes from Kalamazoo, where we have the Air Zoo and Kalamazoo Valley Museum (this is a great children's museum that is free). Lake Michigan is just under an hour from us, our guests favorite place to visit the lake is thte town of St Joseph Mi, and South Haven, Mi.... a great day excursion.
We are a family friendly campground, and a SMOKE AND ALCOHOL FREE campus! We offer more than just a cabin at Our Daily Bread Campground.... you can make us a destination or just a place to stay, either way, we think you'll love it here!

Matt, It was a pleasure hosting you and your daughter. She is truly one of the most delightful and smart little girls I've met. Look forward to hosting you all again! Many blessings!
This place was a nice quiet getaway for us on Labor Day weekend. The hosts are fantastic and super kind. Once you arrive on the property, it can be a little confusing to know which road to take to get to the campsite, but the owner’s met us and led us right there on their golf cart. My kids loved being outdoors, and my daughter spent the whole weekend fishing.
We had a wonderful time here! We booked the wrong cabin on VBRO but thankfully the one we wanted was still available and Debbie and Larry made the switch easy! Such a lovely area! We will be back!!

Amanda's group were great guests.... they left the cabin clean, respected our rules, were easy to communicate with, and appreciative of everything. It was a joy to see them enjoy the grounds, the complimentary boat, and campfire next to the cabins. Look forward to their next visit!
We were looking for a place that was more like camping. Perfect spot and very peaceful and quiet. The owners were awesome and friendly. Enjoyed our time camping without tents. On a mattress

It was our pleasure to host this beautiful nature loving couple and to watch them enjoy the premises... sitting beside their cabin looking at the lake, enjoying the peaceful campfires and discovering the different variety of birds. It was obvious that they enjoyed the nature and peace here! They truly belonged here!
Very quiet place!! Host was very friendly. A tree fell by the cabin we paid for and she upgraded us to one of the modern cabin. Very nice and clean!! We had a very peaceful weekend. Exactly what we were looking for.

This cabin is perfect if you want more of a rustic experience. Bathrooms are portapotties only, cabins are very small with bunk beds, fridge, and microwave. That being said the views behind the cabin are gorgeous. I would recommend if you are okay with roughing it.

Yes these are rustic cabins, actually more semi-rustic in that they have electricity, and include a fridge and microwave; 2 very sturdy bunkbeds, built with lots of head room for taller people on lower bunk; table with chairs; and still plenty of space for a couple blow up mattresses. Cabins are actually 12 x 16 in size, and sit right on the lake and nestled up in a the woods on a very private area, called our youth camp, just off our 180 acres campground. Our youth camp, where the rustic cabins are is 13 acres of privacy, total peace and quiet... a nature lovers, birdwatcher, outdoor lovers dream! Outside cabin is a grill and picnic table, and just over 50 feet away is our outdoor privies/pit toilets, old fashioned water pump with water safe for drinking, and newly remodeled shower house with cedar wood (near future will include sauna inside)... not too shabby for "roughing it" :-) Yes, it's true, the cabins have a gorgeous backdrop!! Not sure why we're rated low for having a "rustic cabin" which is what we're renting but hopefully you will check it out for yourself!
p.s.... by the way, we do have modern cabins with full bath, kitchenette, cathedral ceilings for those who want all the amenities.
