Beautiful guest cottage with cathedral ceiling & tons of character & light. Ideal downtown location between the infamous So. Boundary Ave. where the Live Oaks create a "canopy" over the street and the historic Colleton Ave. The cottage has exposed wood beams, butcher block countertops, tiled shower/floor, with a soft leather couch & new tempurpedic mattress and quality bedding/towels/linens to make your stay more comfortable.

Perfect for a little get away!

This little Guesthouse was very cute and well appointed. A TV in the bedroom would be nice, but the Sling TV in the living space was ideal, with great connectivity! Amenities were very nice.

This is our second time staying at this property and it was every bit as wonderful as the first time. The owner is very cordial and the cottage has everything you would need.

The property was great for our extended stay. There were a couple issues with doors not working quite right and we couldnt use the garbage disposal or the can opener and we bought a wine opener for the place. But these were minor. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and overall property was neat and clean. The owner was exceptionally helpful as we were getting used to how everything worked. The location was great!

Thank you for the comments. The cottage is small at 330 sf and that is listed in the description. I'm sorry you only felt the cottage deserved 3 stars. Since the majority of it's ratings over the past 3 years have been 5 stars, could you give input on why you rated it so low so I can determine if there is something I can do to improve that?

Some quirkiness

The AC seemed like it had basically two settings even though I tried to set it in a medium range. It was either too hot or too cold. Some instructions with it would be good or maybe a wall mounted thermostat. The pocket doors seemed quaint at best. Not that I don't like pocket doors but these could use an upgrade. I liked the ease with which I was able to stream video via my phone to the TV. The lighting in the unit was great as was the WiFi signal. I would have stayed at this location longer because I love the location but the fact that it does not have a laundry has caused me to move to a different VRBO.

Thank you for your feedback John. I actually just had a wall mount thermostat added to the cottage a month or two ago. It’s on the wall right above the light switch. I will write up some instructions for the remotes per your suggestion. The doors are barn doors. The one to the bathroom slides behind a cabinet so it may appear like a pocket door. I will have it checked to see if perhaps it needs an adjustment but the door there and on bedroom are quite heavy and not low end doors at all. I’m glad you liked the location, lighting, wifi and streaming apps on the tv. I wish there was room for a W/D in the unit but there’s not which is why I offer a W/D at another property 5 blocks away. Not ideal i know but it’s the only option I could work out. Thank you again for your feedback. I appreciate the information and will use it wisely for improving the next guests stay.
