Grandchildren loved the pool and hot tub. Riding their bikes to the nearby beach and ice cream afterwards was a fun adventure. Very peaceful setting for all of us on the deck and sitting around the fire pit. It was lovely to all be able to sit around the large table and on the sectional.
Great property for a big family getaway. We had 5 kids under the age of 5 and 8 adults. The space was perfect because we could be apart when needed and together when we wanted to. The walkability to downtown Green Lake was a big plus with our group. Whether we wanted bait, beer, or an ice cream, we never had to get in our car to do so. We would rent this place again in a heartbeat.
The location of the property was great, the host was super responsive and flexible. However, the property can use some newer towels, sheets, cleaner carpets.

Great vacation getaway
Our family had a great vacation stay at the Rowley House in August. The kids swam, fished, and enjoyed all the water sports. The house was spacious and very clean and had lovely amenities. We would definitely recommend it to everyone.

It was lovely to have your family stay at Rowley Retreat. We improve something every year to keep updating and making your stay even more enjoyable. I hope we see your family again!
This is a wonderful place to gather. Beautifully appointed with lovely, thoughtful decorating and very well stocked with everything you would need. The beds were comfortable. We prepped our meals together, watched football, played games and had good conversations. We would definitely recommend this as a place to build memories and as a home away from home.

It was so nice to have a large house to accommodate all our family. Mary answered all my questions and was very helpful. The house was beautiful and well equipped. Our family loved it.

Thank you Anne. I’m so happy you got to make wonderful family memories.
Perfect for a Holiday (especially if you love to cook!)
This beautiful home offers a well-stocked and spacious kitchen for cooking, gathering, and eating. In addition, there are several spaces for sitting, socializing, playing games, or working puzzles. It was a comfortable place for our family to gather. We even enjoyed the hot tub in below-freezing temperatures, with its lovely view of Green Lake.
We had 10 adults with 6 small children. Pool was a big hit with everyone. House had plenty of room for everyone. Very well stocked. Mary was very responsive although not much was needed. Instructions were all there. Location is good for walking to town.
Beautiful property. Pool, hot tub, and lake used every day. Park near by for the little ones. Lots of activities in the Green Lake to do. Great place with lots of room for entertaining. Fun had by all. Hope to return.

Thank you Patti for taking such care of our home. It was wonderful seeing your family make great memories! Look forward to seeing you next year!
Our large extended family (ages 9-81) enjoyed both! The house and property are fantastic, with many amenities (the large couch**). The kitchen area and everything it included made meal/snack times easy, and we really appreciated the spacious living/dining/family area where we could all be together. Perfect for games and puzzles…when we weren’t outside in the pool or hot tub…in comfortable chairs on porches or around the campfire ring…playing yard games in front…or on the pier getting ready to kayak, watching kids fish, and admiring the sunsets. The location is great - on the quiet part of the lake and a short walk from town with parks, shops, restaurants, marina, and town square community center, all of which we had fun checking out. The property is very well-maintained, there is ample parking and garage storage, and Mary is a pleasure to deal with.
We loved our week at Rowley’s Retreat!
Our extended family had a wonderful stay at this home. We had 7 adults and 8 kids ranging in ages from 12 to 84. Between the lake, the pool, the hot tub and being so close to town there was something for everyone (even the teenagers)! At night we had bonfires, made dinners and watched the most breathtaking sunsets from the porch. The family room and kitchen were perfect for our large group, we had plenty of room to cook, eat together and play board games. The owner was extremely attentive. The was an issue with the water heater and it had to be replaced, the new one was there in 30 minutes and everything was up and running in a few hours. She always got back to me quickly and answered every question we had. I highly recommend this beautiful home and Green Lake for a fantastic family getaway.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home celebrating my parent's 55th wedding anniversary. We had a group of 20 people, including children, teenagers, and adults. There was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen/family room is huge! It was so nice for our big group to be able to sit comfortably in one room together.
The house was immaculate and nicely decorated. The furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked.
We swam in the pool, used the hot tub, kayaked, fished off the pier, played board games, and had bonfires at night. I loved sitting on the deck looking over the water. I also highly recommend walking to Murphy's for their wings and cheese curds.
Check in and check out could not have been easier.
The owner responded quickly to any of our questions.
I highly recommend this home! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Mary!!

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Communication
Marsh view
We had a group of 10-20 people comprised of families with kids ranging in age from
4-13 stay at this house for 1 week. Check-in was easy. However, the fridge was not working upon arrival and we had to move our perishables to a drink fridge until the next day. The hot tub also had no instructions and would not turn on until we called for help. The house is spacious but backs up to more of a marsh like area. The yard had holes all over that were hard to see, making it easy to roll your ankle. One of the bedroom closets had a giant pile of dust that we had to vaccum up and it filled half of a garbage bag. The town is lovely though with a quaint feel and small town ice cream and bait shop. The pool was really cold and not in great condition. The deck was also rotted out in some places. The grill was filthy and needed deep cleaning from the dads. When we grilled on the last 2 days, we noticed the tank was near empty. Upon notifying the landlord just to be nice, her communication became very rude. We also let her know in advance that a wind gust lifted up an umbrella from her patio table. It could have hurt someone. She became defensive and made accusations that we broke it and said she asked her neighbors if they had wind gusts. 10 people witnessed it lift up and fly out across the back porch. Lastly, after check out she left me a message that we had used a paddle board that was not to be used. The strange thing was that this paddle board was stored with the kayaks without a note
The house is exactly as described in the listing and it was a good fit for our extended family vacation of 12 people. Plenty of space for everyone to either come together in the living room or dining room for food & entertainment.... or go their separate ways as well. The house sits at the end of a road, so it was nice to be in a very low traffic area. Not that Green Lake has much traffic to begin with, but it having almost no traffic was pretty nice for a vacation. The house is on the lake as shown, but is in it's own separate cove of the lake, which is also nice since it didn't have a lot of boat traffic or wake waves. The only advice I'd give to future people concerning boating would be that you have to go under a low bridge to get to the lake. All 3 of our boats made it, but our 18' Chaparral only cleared the bridge by 4 inches, so it's pretty tight for any boats that size or larger. The kids loved the pool & basketball court, while the adults loved the hot tub.Mary was very attentive to any questions or needs that we had. There was one issue with the router going out, but she and another person did a good job getting new one in there rather quickly. We loved Mary's place and would recommend it to anyone looking to take a larger group or family to a very nice & quiet vacation lake home.
This home is AMAZING. The pictures look great, the reality is even better. The home is huge and provides so much space for family to gather. We enjoyed walking the short two blocks into town for some shopping, or a trek the opposite way across the causeway for views of the lake. We had 15 people, ages 11-79 and not a one of us would say this wasn’t a wonderful stay. I suspect we’ll return as Mary was a wonderful host and there is literally nothing to “ding” this rental on 🙂
Mary, you are an awesome hostess and you have a beautiful spacious home. Love the remodeling you did! Thank you for a wonderful stay and the beautiful memories that will last a life time for all us. Our grand kids can't wait to come back next year.
Best wishes for a great year,
The Stewart Family
We annually meet as a family once a year over Valentines Day weekend to spend time together. With having 12 adults, it easily becomes difficult to find a home that comfortably accommodates everyone. This beautiful home met every expectation we had!
The owner was friendly and communicative. We were able to get there even a few hours early and spend a few hours extra with the family. There was plenty of parking room and the place was very easy to find.
Every detail was thought out and anything we needed, the home had for us. From kitchen utensils and dishes, to the games they had available. We were able to watch the Superbowl and the Olympics with the Roku they had.
The kitchen was absolutely breathtaking! The open concept kitchen, dining room and living room, made it the perfect spot for us all to gather, play games, and eat together. Each of the rooms had more than enough space for each of us and our belongings.
We originally booked this home since we saw it was right on Green Lake and we like to ice fish. We found out that the body of water that this house is on, was not safe to ice fish on but we only had to drive 2 blocks to get out on the ice. We had great weather during our stay and were able to catch a few fish!
I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone! We had one of the best years together yet!
We rented the house for the Thanksgiving weekend and had a blast. The house is very spacious and nicely decorated. We loved the open space on the first floor, a combo of the kitchen, dining and living room. Our whole group could spend time in the same room. The kitchen is well stocked and the views of the lake were amazing. Would definitely come back!
We had a family reunion in green Lake and our accommodations were AWESOME, as well as the catered lunch Mary provided.
The only downside was the many bikes in the garage all had dry rotted tires and holes in the tubes rendering them useless.
This was our 3rd time staying at this home. We have 7 adults and 7 children. We love to cook and grill and the home is well equipped for that. With 7 little kids we need a lot of variety and this home doesn’t disappoint. Pool, hot tub, bikes, lake, kayaks, and easy walking distance to downtown. We love it here🤩
Green Lake Wisconsin is a must-experience destination. We enjoyed the home and area very much with our children and grandchildren. The owner was very responsive.
The only surprise was learning there was an in-law arrangement in an apartment below, but this turned out to be a non-issue. We have the freedom to enjoy the property to the fullest.
Highly recommended.
