About the host
Hosted by Sarah Padilla
Hi, I’m Sarah — co-owner and host with Weekend at Bernie’s Vacation Rentals, a family-run management company based right here in Lake Havasu City. My husband and I started hosting because we wanted to share the kind of desert-lake lifestyle that drew our family here in the first place — easy mornings on the water, afternoons cruising the trails, and nights that drift between backyard hot tubs and downtown lights.
Over the years we’ve renovated and designed several homes throughout Havasu, each with its own personality but a shared goal: to make your stay feel like your own private oasis. Every home is thoughtfully equipped, maintained by our local crew, and ready for everything from a quick weekend recharge to full family gatherings.
What makes us different is that we live and work here — not a call center miles away. If something comes up, we’re nearby and happy to help. We know the best launch ramps, local hangouts, and off-the-map spots most visitors never find. Guests often tell us our homes feel personal — and that’s exactly the point.
Whether you’re here to boat, explore, or just unplug with people you love, we’d be honored to host you. Thank you for considering one of our properties, and welcome (in advance) to the Weekend at Bernie’s family.
• The Oasis & Hideaway Compound – Together, these homes create a flexible desert compound — space to gather, spread out, and enjoy two sides of Lake Havasu life.

Why they chose this property
We chose this area because it perfectly captures what people come to Lake Havasu for — quick access to the water, space to spread out, and quiet evenings once the boats are docked. The homes sit on the waterside of Highway 95, just a few minutes from Windsor Beach and the main launch ramps, making it easy to get your boat in and out without fighting traffic.
It’s one of my favorite spots in town — close enough to reach the London Bridge, restaurants, and nightlife in five minutes, yet tucked far enough back for peace and privacy. The compound itself is newly renovated and fully walled, giving you that blend of comfort and seclusion that’s hard to find so close to the lake.
Between the two homes you’ll have six bedrooms (three with king beds), two modern kitchens, two laundry areas, and a total of six TVs including 85” and 82” 4K screens. There’s plenty of on-site space for boats, trailers, and toys. Evenings tend to end around the hot tub or outdoor sitting area — quiet, warm, and private.

What makes this property unique
This property is special because it brings together two completely renovated homes—The Oasis on Kirk and The Hideaway on Kirk—within one private, walled compound. It’s a setup you rarely find in Lake Havasu: the space and flexibility of two full homes, yet the closeness of a single retreat built for connection.
We chose this location because it captures everything people love about Havasu: quick access to the water, room to spread out, and calm evenings once the boats are docked. The homes sit on the waterside of Highway 95, just minutes from Windsor Beach launch ramps and the London Bridge, which makes boating days and downtown nights equally easy.
Inside, each space was fully redesigned with comfort in mind—modern kitchens, open layouts, and smart features throughout. You’ll find six total bedrooms (three with king beds), two kitchens, two laundry areas, and six smart TVs including 85” and 82” 4K screens for movie nights after a long day on the lake.
Outdoors, the property shines. The compound offers privacy, security, and that rare mix of luxury and convenience— ample parking for boats, trucks, or off-road toys. Evenings tend to center around the patios, firelight, and two private hot tubs that glow under desert stars.
Whether you’re here for a family reunion, couples’ trip, event weekend, or just a dose of sunshine, this home delivers the balance that Lake Havasu is known for—energy when you want it, quiet when you need it. It’s one of my favorite properties we’ve ever created, and I think you’ll feel the same as soon as you step through the gates.
