A beautiful and unique estate full of pleasant surprises, located in one of the most picturesque towns on the French Riviera, Antibes-Juan-les-Pins.

Set within a 5,600 m² mature and fully enclosed park, this property offers absolute privacy and immense charm, particularly due to its many well-preserved features from the 1880s: terracotta tiles, fireplaces, decorative moldings, and fountains.

Carefully restored, the main house features two dining rooms, a living room with a large fireplace, a covered Florentine-style terrace, and a magnificent solarium. The five bedrooms, spread over two floors, accommodate up to 10 guests, making it an ideal retreat for a large family.

Adjacent to the main house is a charming stone guesthouse, also fully renovated with special attention to historical details. It offers two bedrooms, a living area with a kitchen, and can comfortably host 4 guests.

At the eastern end of the estate, a delightful studio with a private bathroom and terrace provides accommodation for 2 guests.

In total, the entire estate can accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 bedrooms.

Great place to stay for a big family reunion trip

We stayed in the villa for a week with our extended family, and there was enough comfortable space for everyone to enjoy it, either inside or outside. Plenty of areas to play, eat or just relax. Kirsten was very well prepared and provided everything we needed. A memorable and unique place.

Beautiful property

We had a great time at Bastide des Cigales. The house is well located to everything, the beach, the store and the beautiful old Antibes town. Plus the train to go to Nice and Monaco is right there. Kiki, the owner, is a wealth of information. The house has a lot of charm and quiet in the busy environment. greta for family get together.

What a fantastic place, very peaceful and at the same time close to the Mediterranean, shops and facilities Within the property with the magnificent gardens and nature, the littele sheep and goat plus 2 lovely poneys you have the feeling to be fare away somewhere in Provence Kirsten is a perfect host, always cheering and available to give great tips of what to do and where to eat The little house is well organized and tidy , my family enjoyed the private terrace and al fresco dining and of course the huge pool For sure we will come back !

Villa stay in Antibes

We have summer camps for kids during July. We are so lucky to rent a house with Lovely Kirsten. We totally don't know French. Kirsten help me booking Babygym for my little girl, and fill the fridge before we arrived. Drive us shopping for first day. We had so many rental vacation house experience, but it is first time feel so warm and sweet. It is a house with beautiful ocean views and very decorated. My kids love animals from farm and therapy dog as well. We appreciate Kirsten for our stays like home. 第一次带孩子们来法南夏令营，原以为英文是没问题的，到了戛纳才发现，很多人是听不懂英文的。不过很幸运我们的房东是个热情好客的女主人，帮助孩子们安排夏令营，载着我们介绍城市购物。尤其是house是一个可爱的大庄园，有马羊还有非常温顺的狗，孩子们夏令营回来戏水，骑马，非常值得回忆的愉快假期

A fantastic vacation!

Kirsten was a wonderful hostess and her property is exquisitely unique. Thank you Kirsten for making our arrival so easy and having your home cleaned, stocked and ready for all of us. Kirsten was very accommodating and helpful with making plans for our group of three families with teenage children. We visited some amazing sites at her recommendation and had a wonderful holiday!!! The weather was very warm, but the A/C units made our stay very comfortable. Each of us swam in the beautiful pool each day to cool off and the Mediterranean was a short stroll away. The teens walked down to the closest boulangerie each morning to buy French pasteries and bread which was superb and convenient. The Bastide is close to all driving routes and made the location very nice for local sightseeing. Kirsten has been improving the home and revealed some newly developed areas around the expansive yard where we could spend time....outdoor covered loggia, outdoor eating area under a roof and the enclosed eating area off of the kitchen which meant that we had lots of choices and areas to relax in while we were at the house. Thanks again Kirsten for having us stay in your lovely historic home. Until the next time, a tout alors!!

Magical Antibes Retreat

I have been dreaming of this trip for many years and our host Kirsten helped us have an experience that surpassed all my hopes. If you stay at the beautiful Bastide Les Cigales, she will recommend the best dinners and make reservations for you! With her advice, we saw the special places that the local people enjoy. Kirsten was always available to answer our questions about Antibes and her English is excellent! Kirsten wants you to enjoy this part of the world as much as she does. The Bastide is more lovely even than the photos. It is a much loved, very clean, and carefully maintained home and garden, with a tasteful combination of modern upgrades to the historical building. We were a group of 12 friends and family and everyone found space to enjoy them selves (and air conditioning for all the bedrooms adds a bonus star from me!). Antibes is well situated for adventures like a boat trip for snorkeling or a train to visit the brilliant gems of towns along the Côte d’Azur. After a day of exploring, you get to return to the Bastide, cool off in the pool and enjoy dinner in one of the large gathering spaces. A member of my group put it best, “It is like the Bastide is another person on our trip with us and now we have become great friends.” I think you will fall a little in love with the beautiful welcoming presence of the Bastide and hosting family. Wonderful Villa, a perfect family and friends getaway.

We had the best time with family and friends at this Villa full of old world charm. There is plenty of room for a large family and/or group of friends. The main house has 5 bedrooms and 4 baths, balconies with sea views, 2 dinning areas, nice modern kitchen with lots of storage, a large supply of dishes, glasses, pot and pans. Everything you need for cooking for a large group. Plus there are 2 separate units, one with a kitchen, bath, separate bedroom, loft and sofa sleeper, perfect for a small family. The second unit is decorated beautifully, a studio with a kitchenette and very nice bathroom. The outside area is amazing. lush gardens, lots of birds. Big open spaces, enough room for the kids to kick a soccer ball around. A separate game room with pool table and darts, fun for teens to hang out. Large pool that was used by all of us each day. The water was warm enough for a nice swim in early June, there are pool toys for the kids and the pool is large enough to swim laps. Outside there are multiple eating/sitting areas all around the house. In the back behind the kitchen is a covered sitting area with lots of comfy chairs, beyond that and near the BBQ and outdoor kitchen is a large table covered with a thatched roof in case it rains. A very special place for dinning with family and friends in the evening. Our host, Kirsten was very friendly and helpful all during our week long visit. She gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations and even called and make the reservations for us. She also provided us with suggestions for fun and interesting things to do during the day. The week flew by, there are so many things to do in this area of France. We highly recommend this property and host. A fantastic and memorable time had by all. Thank you Kirsten.

Fantastic Family Vacation

Our week at Kirsten’s beautiful home could not have been better! The house accommodated eleven of us very comfortably. There are so many private beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms that each person or couple felt like they had their own private space. The pool was so beautifully maintained! It was so welcome for us to return to after an outing in the warm weather. Everyone said the high point of the week was the dinner and fireworks which Kirsten had booked for us. Having Dorothy cook for us several times during the week made it a real vacation. The location minutes from the beach and such a short hop to Antibes old town and Nice was ideal! Thank you Kirsten for a truly wonderful week! We’ll be back!

Traumhaus & Wohlfühloase mit vielen Überraschungen

Die Bastide les Cigales lässt sich nur schwer mit einem Wort beschreiben. Kurz vor dem Zentrum Antibes stößt man auf diese wundervolle, ruhige, grüne und große Wohlfühloase von Kirsten. Dort findet man alles, was man braucht und alles, wonach man sich im Urlaub sehnt. Das Meer ist innerhalb weniger Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, doch selbst wem das zu weit ist: der Pool am Haus ist groß genug für jede Menge Leute. Wer seine Ruhe braucht, flüchtet ins Haus, oder in die Petite Maison oder ins Atelier - oder auf die andere Seite des Grundstücks. Kirsten hat sich im Vorfeld prima um uns (9 Erwachsene + Kids) gekümmert, alles organisiert und ist herzlich empfangen, man kann sich keine bessere Gastgeberin vorstellen. Das Haus und die kleineren Wohnflächen nebenan waren alle sauber und gepflegt, sehr schön eingerichtet, top ausgestattet, eben alles von Anfang bis Ende durchdacht. Und wer sich die Zeit nimmt, entdeckt sowohl drinnen als auch draußen viele kleine Highlights - es ist also schlichtweg ein Traum. Wir empfehlen die Bastide Les Cigales zu 100 % - auch für größere Gruppen. Wir bedanken uns bei Kirsten und ihrer Family für diese wundervollen und angenehmen Tage!

Incredibly beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!

We spent in Bastide Les Cigales two weeks with my family. The house is just incredibly beautiful and comfortable to stay. It is very elegantly decorated and you feel like in the countryside, although you are in the center of a town. This feeling is increased by a huge garden around the house with many different places where you can sit, do barbecue or walk. And our children especially enjoyed a huge swimming pool by the house. We enjoyed the large living room and cozy dining room together and and the same time we had enough privacy in our various bedrooms. We came back home excited and we hope to come back to Bastide Les Cigales again! It has been one of the most pleasant holidays for us. Katerina and family ( from Tchechien)

Mariage à la Bastide : un lieu d'exception

La Bastide est parfaite pour célébrer un vin d'honneur en plein air. Tout a été pensé par Kirsten pour recevoir un tel evenement, il y a deux très belles tonnelles pour le coktail, très joliment décorés, un coin barbecue sous la pergola, des toilettes crées à l'exterieur, l'espace est immense, au fond du jardin, il y a un large enclos pour les animaux, la propriété est tout simplement magnifique, toutes les chambres et leurs salles de bain attenantes sont aménagées avec goût, la piscine est très agréable avec transats et "bed". Notre séjour était parfait, idyllique, nous nous sommes tous réunis en famille pour célébrer notre mariage et nous avons eu des étoiles plein les yeux.. Un grand merci à Kirsten !!

Dreading reaching 60 (part 2).....

For some strange reason my review was incomplete so I shall carry on where I was cut off! She....provided us with a guided tour of her lovely home and had as pre-arranged stocked the the food and wine fridges so that we were 'good to go' on our first night. She also arranged a chef to cook on my birthday dinner (who was super) as well as organising transport when needed. All of our group loved the house and all settled in as though they were in their own homes, such was the peace and tranquility. If you are planning a trip to Antibes, this is the only place to stay.

An oasis of tranquility near the centre of Antibes

My family enjoyed a perfect three weeks staying in this delightful property only 5 mins by car from central Antibes. We were a family of four plus girlfriend and guests who came for a short stay. We took the main house and the bungalow for my university-age son and girlfriend to have greater privacy, so the separate entrance was an added bonus. (We were also offered an additional annex should we have needed it.) The entire property is very tastefully decorated and it is clear throughout that this is a home and not just a rental property. All linens and towels were new and co-coordinating. The entire property was spotless on arrival and very well-equipped. There are many different areas in which to relax so a larger party would be well accommodated. Young children would be entirely safe due to the fenced-off pool area with functioning pool alarm and shallow end. The entire property is secluded and set behind high electronic gates so very discreet and secure. I should also praise the very new and efficient air conditioning system which ensured that we all slept well- rare in such properties! Besides these basics, the property is surrounded by lush vegetation and ample plantings of lavender which kept the mosquitoes away. The house and garden, including the pool, were kept very well throughout our stay. An added bonus as far as my boys were concerned were the resident goat, Oscar, and sheep, McDoodle, to whom they paid visit on a daily basis!

A hidden gem in the middle of Antibes!

My family and I stayed at this property for a month this summer and it was exceptionally beautiful!!! Kirsten (the owner) and her husband were their to greet us and check us in and they were extremely hospitable and accommodating. They handed over the keys as well as guide books on where to go and all the emergency contact numbers needed. It was an exceptionally hot summer and they offered to bring us an AC on the spot which we installed in the living room to make the warm days cooler! The property also has unique pets! A goat and a sheep that are very friendly and welcome you to play and pet them at anytime :)) I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the SOF, as its location is perfect (in the middle of Antibes) and the hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating!

Erholsamer Urlaub in idyllischem Ambiente.

Die Wohnung befindet sich im Nebengebäude des angrenzenden Haupthauses, in dem die Vermieter wohnen. Sie ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und verfügt über eine gut ausgestattete Wohnküche. Die beiden Zimmer haben wir jeweils als Schlafzimmer genutzt, wobei das eine davon eher als Kamin/Wohnzimmer gedacht ist. In beiden steht ein Fernseher und es gibt überall W-Lan. Das Ganze hat den wunderbaren Charme eines französischen Landhauses. Wir saßen allerdings fast nur auf der Terrasse oder lagen am Pool, an dem es auch sehr bequeme Liege- oder Sitzgelegenheiten gibt. Auf dem großzügigen und sehr schön ein-gewachsenen Grundstück gibt es auch die Möglichkeit Basketball oder Tischtennis zu spielen, und natürlich zu Grillen. Wir fühlten uns wie in einer Oase, was unseren Unternehmungsdrang etwas gebremst hat. Man kann natürlich trotzdem sehr viel machen, die Lage am nördlichen Rand von Antibes bietet viele Optionen. Mit dem Auto ist man in 5 Minuten in Antibes, eine Viertelstunde dauert es bis zum Kap oder nach Cannes und in 20-30 Minuten ist man in Nizza. Genauso gut kann man die meisten Ziele mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichen. Auch zu Fuß ist der Bäcker nur 5 und der Kießstrand etwa 10 Minuten entfernt. Wenn man selbst keine Ideen hat, kann man sich getrost an die Vermieterin wenden, die einem gerne jederzeit mit Rat und Tat sowie mit vielen Tipps und Empfehlungen zur Seite steht. Überhaupt waren wir sehr von der echten Gastfreundschaft und Hilfsbereitschaft angetan, die uns vom ersten Tag an zuteil wurde. Übrigens vergibt auch unser Hund für diesen sehr tierfreundlichen Aufenthalt klare 5 Sterne. Sehr gerne wieder.
