About this property

3 bedroom stunning home in Sjusjøen

Welcome to Sjusjøen and this cozy and undisturbed log cabin. Outside you can relax on the large terrace, inside you will find the beautiful lounge with fireplace, modern bathroom and 3 bedrooms. This is a cabin with soul! It is located 1 km from the town center with grocery store, sports store with ski, bike rental and fishing license sales, restaurants, cafes, pubs and after ski.

The main attraction is the ski slopes near the house: Sjusjøen offers 350 km of perfectly groomed trails! Popular places like Midtfjellkoia, Snørvillen, Sollifjell, Pellestova and Nordseter are nice destinations. Or try the Birkebeiner Trail, which is used during the famous Birkebeiner race in March.

The slopes at Natrudstilen are 10 minutes away by car. Sjusjøen Huskytours offers dog sledding trips. Kiting ("ski surfing") at Kroksjøen is also recommended. Use your own equipment or attend courses. Learn2ski offers ski courses for beginners and advanced skiers.

Lillehammer is half an hour's drive away and offers many activities: Maihaugen Folk Museum with historical buildings, 1994 Olympic Museum with bobsleigh and luge track, Hunderfossen Adventure Park where you can join the fairy tale kingdom.

In summer Sjusjøen offers hiking trails in easy mountain terrain. In late summer you can find cloudberries or swim and fish in 40 mountain lakes: E.g. Sjusjøvannet, Kroksjøen and Åsta, where you can catch trout. Or take a longer mountain bike tour. The fittest ride from Rena to Lillehammer via Sjusjøen. In Sjusjøvannet there are idyllic bathing bays. There are also benches and tables where you can have a picnic. Around Sjusjøvannet is good for hiking or cycling.

Beds too soft

We have two children and there were too much knick-knack everywhere. Beds were too soft and there was no bed for two parents together. The position was fantastic though.
