BRAND NEW LISTING!! Please note: (This is a duplex and both sides are available for rent. There is a connecting door if you rent both sides)

Welcome to Silver Sands in beautiful Gulf Shores! This house is the PERFECT getaway spot! It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath duplex located on 2nd ave and has just about everything you would need to unwind and relax. There is covered parking underneath the house and plenty of seating on the deck outside. This unit comes with a shared laundry area downstairs under the unit. Inside, you will find that the house has been newly renovated and beautifully decorated. In the master bedroom, there is a Queen size bed to get your beauty rest. The second bedroom features 2 twin size beds, and a TV. In the living room there are 2 recliners and a sofa sleeper to sleep your extra guests. The dining room and kitchen are well appointed and you will have everything you need to cook. This house is just a short walk from the beach! Come spend your vacation at Silver Sands, we are sure you will love our house as much as we do!

Any reservations made prior to October 1st for the Winter Season (January and February) require a 60 day (two month) minimum. Reservations made that do not meet this criteria are subject to cancellation by management. After October 1st, reservations may be made for the winter months at a minimum of three or seven nights, depending on unit specifications.

Linens are provided however, please bring your own beach towels
The reservation includes a "starter set" of hand soap, 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, 1 trash bag per trash can, and 1 roll of paper towels.
Vehicle Registration Tags are required and may be purchased upon arrival or by contacting our office directly. 2 cars maximum.

Clean and quiet!

We had a great time, furniture is a lil dated, but barely spent time in as we always were out and exploring. Just a block and a half away from a great location on the beach, with not as many places as more central downtown GS. Quiet neighborhood and great neighbors!

Decent location, old furniture.

This place wasn't bad but could be a lot better if some newer furniture was put in there. The couches, recliners, and especially the love seat are ANCIENT. The bedroom furniture and bed are all pretty old as well.

Very convenient location

Pros: - Short walk from the beach. - Big front porch to keep all the sandy beach stuff. - At the end of a dead end street, so very quiet area. - Great for a family of four with children. - The owner was very responsive. Cons: - Furniture and appliances are outdated but functional. - Walls are paper thin. We could hear everything the people on the other side said and did (and probably vice versa).

Was great for a last minute place.

Was good for a last minute place. BUT beds were so hard we had to sleep on recliners. The floors were uneven. There were random dips where you could roll your ankle. The front bedroom door and the the bathroom doors would get stuck. Had to shoulder bump the front bedroom door. Great walking distance to the beach. Fridge worked good. Coffee pots were sketchy. The property management was good and wasy to work with.

Bring your own household supplies

Great although more towels, trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels would have been appreciated. Had to go to the local store and purchase these items. At the other vacation rentals have I stayed at these were provided. I decided to leave the extras for the next occupant so they were not faced with the same issue.

Result

The beach house furniture and appliances were in bad shape. The washer broke down the second day we was there due to the occupants in the back overloading it, very inconvenient and I was told where the nearest laundry mat was. My bad I didn’t make sure it was a connecting unit. Construction on a new building dead beside us from 7 AM til 6 PM with their trash blowing over in our space. Our next visit I will make sure it’s not conjoined place want more privacy and a place on the same side as the beach but that was my fault for not looking at it closer. Overall the Poole associates and the property mgr were very polite and helped. But the place we stayed needs a lot of work done and probably needs a makeover inside before letting others stay.
