The house was amazing. It's a beautiful craftsman home with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Our family had plenty of space to visit and the upstairs has 3 bedrooms with another kitchen and living room. The table upstairs was the dedicated puzzle table. The kitchen downstairs is huge. Our family thanksgiving/birthday celebration went well!

If you are planing a trip to the Portland area consider this listing! They had everything you would need for a family (small or large) to be completely comfortable. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Perfect House

the house was clean and well kept, plenty of room for large family or groups. Host made check in and out a breeze!! phone signal was spotty but house had Wifi so it was no biggie!! We rented the entire house but you can have personal privacy if wanted between familys as it can be split into two units and has two kitchens which was amazing!! we will definitely rent this place again on our next visit!!

The house is the perfect combination of lovely period piece fitted with new, clean kitchens and bathrooms! Peaceful, rural location but close enough to everything we needed. Five adult women, we loved that we each had our own spacious bedroom and plenty of room to hang out together. With no with no bathroom lines!

Willamette Valley Wine Trip

Excellent place to stay for enjoying wine country. Although it is located slightly east of the majority of wineries, it was worth adding a little more time to the drive to stay in this well appointed, great layout home. The house is set up perfectly for 4 couples to share- each having their own bedroom/bathroom. The house was very clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. Would highly recommend for a larger group. Check in/out was a breeze and the owner is quick to respond to any question you might have.

Perfect place

We loved everything about our stay here. Our family stayed at both upstairs and downstairs units, which were extremely well equipped and clean. Only negative for us was the Keurig coffee maker. We love to make a big pot of coffee each morning and there were no drip coffeemakers. Other than that we appreciated every little extra that was provided. Loved walking five minutes to the Butteville General Store for ice cream and coffee. We had a long walk along the bike trail which was beautiful. We would absolutely stay again.

Perfect for our bridal party

The house is set up as two separate living quarters. We booked it as a place to have our bridal party stay and get ready at for our wedding. It was perfect! Boys stayed downstairs and girls upstairs so we wouldn't see each other. House is beautiful. There was one footboard that was broken and needed fixed but they had a temporary solution. Only other problem was outside by the parking beside the house leading into the backyard was a area with dirt and there were a bunch of exposed wired I assume are disconnected but can't confirm that. Emily was very accommodating and quick to reply. I would totally recommend staying here!

Much larger than it looks with space to tuck away

I was a little nervous because the listing says five bedrooms but I only saw four in the pictures. There were in fact five regular bedrooms plus two pull out couches, one of which was in a room with pocket doors for privacy making effectively another room. Two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms plus two more bathrooms meant there was never a line despite our large-ish group. The house is super cute with a blend of the original details from this old home plus many great updates so the amenities and design were modern and comfortable. We loved our stay and will absolutely book again next year. We especially loved the second living area and kitchen upstairs - it was a quiet retreat to sneak away to read while the rest of the group was playing a game or watching a movie together downstairs. Historic general store and deli was a short walk away (although no sidewalk but a pretty quiet road, keep that in mind if you're walking with pets or littles) plus several places would deliver so we had all the amenities we needed. Parking was a touch tight with four vehicles if we tried to tuck all of them in the back but there was more space out front to park if you're in larger cars.

Nice Getaway

We had 3 generations under the roof, using every bedroom & restroom. 4 restrooms allowed each family to have 1 to themselves. 2 of those restrooms wete inside bedrooms. Clean, plenty of towels & washcloths. A group of 14 is hard to accomodate, but this property allowed us to all stay together, using some of our air mattresses and spreading out for meal time. If you want an all sit together at 1 table meal, bring some folding chairs. 1 mattress was too firm for the liking, but that can be easily changed with bringing a pad if everyone needs all 5 bedrooms to have softer support. There was plenty of bedding and a few extra blankets. Clean! 16 wooden stairs go up to 3 of the bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 of the laundry rooms, smaller kitchen and living area. Great kitchen spaces (2- 1 up and 1 down) allowed plenty of refrigerator space for varying needs. 2 laundry rooms (1 up and 1 down) a bonus! Nice spot for pictures on the front porch. Close to hop on the freeway, but far enough away, so no noise. 30 minutes away we enjoyed time in McMinville town (3rd Street!) and Wings & Waves Waterpark. Fred Meyer was 10 minutes away. 2 TVs met the needs of our group, with ample choices. The children had room to spread out with their toys, books and games as well both up and downstairs. One family member had a terrible accident during our stay and Newburg ER, OHSU ER trauma (30min away) were extremely helpful, as well as Emily, our VRBO host. We are grateful. We'd like to come back and "finish" our vacation around this area with no surprises like that, again. We'd certainly see if this property was available. Thank you for great communication and help!

Amazing! We rented both the upstairs & downstairs so all the groomsmen could stay with us for my son's wedding at Champoegh State Park. The house was perfect! There were 2 full kitchens which meant 2 full fridges & 2 full ovens!! Lots of dishes & 2 dishwashers! Everything was thoughtfully done! There were 4 bathrooms & no one was ever waiting for shower time. The fold-out couch downstairs has pocket doors so even that "room" had privacy. The king room downstairs has its own bathroom & the other queen room downstairs was right next to the shared bathroom. Upstairs, there were 2 bedrooms along a hall that shared 1 bathroom at the end of the hall & then there was another queen bedroom that had its own bathroom. There was also a full corner couch In the upstairs living room area with a pull out bed, my son said the bed wasn't very comfortable, so his groomsman just slept on the couch instead of pulling the bed out. There were lots of extra sheets, pillows & blankets in the closets. There was even a small ironing board, although we didn't need it. There is a full washer & dryer downstairs & upstairs. It has a peaceful, private backyard with a wooden picnic table & 2 Adirondack chairs, bring your own lawn chairs if you want more seating. There was plenty of parking both in front of the house & along the side of the house so people could easily come and go. When we all sat around the dining table we used folding chairs from the wedding rather than moving the upstairs chairs down.

Christmas 2022

Christmas 2022 From making reservations to ongoing communication to contacting us saying we could check in early because of approaching inclement weather the host was fabulous. The house was extremely clean, it is spacious with the upstairs and the downstairs with the two separate living spaces we were able to have part of the family watching football while other parts of the family played Games at the large table and others of us were cooking and yet it felt like we were all together. The downstairs kitchen is spacious with plenty of room for cooking. Although we were there in winter with extremely inclement weather in the summer this area would be beautiful for hiking walking playing on the river. I would highly recommend.
