This place was great, host was very helpful when we had a question about the fireplace, and the view of the river and mountains was outstanding! The wood burning fireplace and gobs of wood left for us was an excellent touch :)
The host was nice and helpful. The house was cozy and perched right above the river which made for viewing birds quite convenient next to the big warm fire. The house felt secure with a nice fence and big gate. The area though seems to have quite a bit of rif raff, keep to yourself and respect the locals and you will be just fine. Would stay here again and recommend this property to others looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation.
We stayed here for two nights while exploring the North Cascades area. It is in a quiet neighborhood and right on the river for beautiful views. Basic, but comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location to visit North Cascades National Park. View of the river and mountains behind the home sets the tone. The home shows its age a bit but otherwise very comfortable and worked great for our family.
A beautiful cabin nestled right up next to the river!
What a beautiful place to stay at. AMAZING view of Mt. Baker when the sky is clear from the back deck, beautiful stars at night. The constant rushing of the river is soothing, and the fenced off yard gives a sense of privacy without feeling walled off. the fireplace is unique and one-of-a-kind! I'd gladly stay here again!
Our stay at the cabin was great, the location is wonderful with a gorgeous view of the river. Our host was very accommodating and good communication. We had several vehicles and there was plenty of parking. Overall I liked the place, and hope to return again.
Nice, spacious house with view of Mount Baker and river. Plenty of room for our entire family of six. It’s also close to a grocery store and a few restaurants.
Had a quick stay before our annual backpacking trip. Cabin was comfortable with great views. Owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Overall a great stay. Thank you.
Everything we needed for a few days exploring the area. Weather and air quality unfortunately weren't perfect but allowed us to spend more time just chillin' in the quiet place in a beautiful setting.
The property was spacious, clean, and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the Skagit River from the back porch and family room area. We used the home as a base for driving into the North Cascades National Park and doing day hikes. We did Cascade pass, Maple pass, and Blue Lake trails and then enjoyed the beautiful drive back to the rental home each day where we prepared a delicious meal using the grill and enjoying the dining area with a view of the river. Nick, our host, was absolutely incredible in his attentiveness to our every need. I highly recommend this property.
The Riverside A-Frame is a well-kept and comfortable home for your stay. Even though we did not travel with a dog or small children, there are many items on hand to help make this VRBO a home away from home for those that do. The neighborhood is very quiet and the beds are comfortable which all allow for a good night's rest.

Beautiful house and property. I love the camp fire area with the view on Mount Baker.
The house was clean and the host made sure we had what needed to cook and feel at home. They even provide guide to find hikes and things to do in the area.
They also provide a dog bed and some toys which our dog loved
Wonderful cabin with a beautiful view of the Skagit River and Mt Baker. This is a great location to enjoy the quiet sounds of the river with close proximity to grocery options in Burlington about 30 minutes away.
The cabin is a good base camp to head to Mt Baker or the North Cascades National Park.
Easy to access and has all the essentials for a getaway.
The wall of windows looking out at Skagit River was spectacular. Having that view from the spacious living room/dining area with its fireplace, exposed rock-faced chimney, and comfy sofas made it a wonderful place to relax. With the cabin's proximity to town, we got take-out so we could dine in the beautiful cabin instead! The cabin is dog-friendly with its fenced yard, and it was just a short walk to the public trail down to the shoreline of the river.
A lovely cabin by a beautiful river. We (3 couples) traveled from Wisconsin for a visit to the National Parks. We were not disappointed. Our stay at The Riverside Cabin was very nice. The location along the Skagit River was breathtaking, and the view of Mt Baker was pretty cool too.
Thanks Nick!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The view was absolutely amazing - the river and Mt. Baker are gorgeous. Everything is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed eating meals, playing games and working a puzzle on the large dining room table. The proximity to North Cascades was very convenient and allowed us to explore the park multiple times.
Communication with the owner, Nick was pleasant and timely.
Would love to come back someday!
We had a lovely stay at Nick’s home on the Skagit river. The house had amazing views of the river and Mt. Baker. We could see bald eagles right from the balcony and backyard space. Nick was very easy to communicate with. He answered any questions quickly and was quite helpful with providing things for us to do, due to fires in the area closing off part of Rt 20 and putting a dent in our plans. There is so much to see around the area of the cabin itself, so that was great.

About the host
Hosted by Nick
My wife and I currently host two properties: River's Run, a beautiful A-frame cabin on the high-bank of the Skagit river in Concrete, WA, and June Bug Cottage, our old home nestled up to a greenbelt in Seattle, WA. We named the cabin after our Australian Shepherd, River, and the cottage after our daughter, Rory June. We love the outdoors and exploring the PNW together.
Why they chose this property
We bought this beautiful A-frame cabin so we had a place for family to stay and visit when they come up to Washington. We like to rent it out when we're not using it.
