The Neighborhood:
☆ The Neighborhood ☆
Centrally-located in the burgeoning Midtown Alley Design District, you'll be minutes away from virtually every major destination in the city. Phenomenal dining and nightlife options within walking distance include world-famous Pappy's Smokehouse, The Southern, Urban Chestnut Brewing, The Fountain on Locust, and many more. Here's a little more about the Midtown Alley Design District from the community's website:
"Originally called Automobile Row, Midtown Alley was St. Louis’s prime spot to purchase cars between 1911 and 1955. In 2005, the neighborhood was added to the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. National Park Service. While none of the original automobile businesses remain, the buildings–many of which were designed by the famed architect Preston Bradshaw–still stand as a reminder of what first made this neighborhood so special in the city of St. Louis.
Today, Midtown Alley is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in St. Louis. New restaurants such as Brennan’s Work and Leisure, Small Batch, and Egg Midtown are opening up next to older neighborhood staples like The Fountain on Locust and Pappy’s Smokehouse. The heart of our neighborhood, however, can be found in the local St. Louis design businesses that call Midtown Alley their home.
Within the past ten years, our neighborhood has entered into a new renaissance, thanks in no small part to the designers, architects, and artists who saw the potential of this seven-block stretch and breathed new life into the area.
Walking down Locust Street, one can feel the creative energy of the neighborhood. New firms pioneering innovative business models are opening their doors next to ice cream shops, modeling agencies, and local barbecue hangouts. This eclectic mix of old and new has become the defining feature of Midtown Alley. As new businesses pop up and students and long-time residents alike flock to Midtown’s residential lofts, there can be no doubt that Midtown Alley is St. Louis’s creative epicenter. Just as Midtown’s past can be seen in the historic buildings lining the sidewalks, the neighborhood’s future is found in the creative businesses that brought these structures back to life."

I took my girls to see Zach Bryan this weekend and chose this cute loft to stay in. It was beautiful and fit our needs perfectly. The hosts were super accommodating and answered the few questions I had accordingly. the neighborhood was cute we loved egg for breakfast and Pappys for lunch, both were walking distance!! Would stay again!
Very pet friendly and off street, secure parking was helpful. Location allowed us to walk to places to eat (Pappys!) or to venues to explore. Otherwise was very close to drive to the aquarium, mini golf, IKEA, arch, stadium, grocery store, college, etc. Communication was amazing- Brandon was very responsive which was a big help. Would definitely stay here again.
I wanted a place where my mom, who has mobility issues, could comfortably stay and gather with our family in St. Louis for Christmas. The elevator and the ramp in the front of the building was key for this. We were able to have a few close relatives over for a Christmas meal, conversation and games that we brought. Both bathrooms had walk-in showers. We appreciated the condiments and coffee that were supplied as well.
Perfect location to get to Busch Stadium, the Arch, and great ribs (Pappy’s). The place is a cool modern and the beds comfortable. The property manager was super responsive…whether about how to get into the place (we’d never used that kind of key fob before) to recommendations on food. Made our stay absolutely the best!
Our group of three stayed at the Nash on a recent trip to St Louis. The loft was clean and well appointed, but the vibe and decor was “dark,” with metal music playing at the entrances, concrete floors, exposed ceilings and black and cream color scheme. Black/charcoal shades were semipermeable and streetlights readily shined through. Regarding the beds, the memory foam mattresses were overly firm, some of us found them uncomfortable. There was no street life during the day but nights were pretty loud with local bars and a rock concert venue to the west, if that’s what you're looking for. Our sleep was not the best. The neighborhood to the east seemed abandoned. The nearby Fountain on Locust restaurant / ice cream bar was exceptionally cool. The location was near St. Louis University’s east end. The check in and check out were organized but required so many steps I felt I was solving a puzzle, like I was doing the Amazing Race. It was expensive for what we got. Some might like it but it wasn’t for us.
Our family loved the interactive games! Our kids enjoyed playing pool, air hockey, and there was even a driving race car game that the kids loved! The hot tub was so relaxing day and night. The best part is the location and spectacular Mountain Views! The three decks allowed us to enjoy the views while making a family meal, playing pool, from our bed, and from the hot tub! It felt like a home away from home! Thank you for letting us experience the best of Wears Valley in your home!
The place was just as described. Communication was very easy. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It felt safe and cozy. Great place overall! Would definitely recommend.
Clean and great feel to this industrial style 2 bedroom loft. Small but roomy and the accomodarions were first class. Would stay here again. You will need either a car or an Uber/lyft app to get around.
Amazing place to stay!
Was great space for our family of four to stay.
We enjoyed several meals and the kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking and food prep needs.
We found the parking to be secure and easy to use/access. We also took advantage of public transportation while visiting, with a bus stop a block away and metrolink stations a 20-25min walk away.
