Wonderful place to stay with a large or multiple families. Enough room that you don’t feel on top of one another. Definitely will stay again when coming home to visit.
We had 18 people in our group, ranging in ages from 7 to 80! The house slept everyone very comfortably, and there was lots of room to spread out! We had a great experience.
The was a wonderful fall escape with my extended family. There was plenty of space for all of us and we enjoyed the weekend. The Pere Marquette trail was nearby and being right next to Eight Point Lake was great. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook for all of us.
We loved looking out over the snow covered lake and the kids really enjoyed shoe skating on the ice.
We visited several local Amish stores and enjoyed their homemade products.
The owners were very great with communicating and helped with anything we needed during our stay.
Lots of sleeping options. So many amenities for young families - playground, sandy area, toys (outdoor & indoor). Nearby public beach was within easy walking distance and very nice access to the lake. Kitchen fully equipped. They provided everything you need but the food. Very accommodating with parking. The canal to the house is shallow but public boat landing is not too far, easy to use and very nice.
The house was very clean. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The back yard was fantastic. Big property to play yard games and have a bon fire. Plenty of beds for all. Owner was fantastic to work with. She answered questions right away and made contact simple. The place was very clean and had everything we couple possibly need. The area is quiet and relaxing.
Extremely fun property. I was a little disappointed we couldn't swim in the backyard Beach. The water was really mucky but there is a cleaner Beach just down the road in walking distance.
The home wasn't the cleanest, some cob webs and such, but by no means disgusting as some of the other reviews say. It's a lake house, not a 5 star resort. I would take my family there again.
The home is definitely stocked for a big crowd. Lots of silverware and plates and cups. Plenty of supplies, but I had brought most everything not knowing for sure if there would be enough. I did bring 2 large frying pans because most places don't have those. The only thing was they had run out of gas for the grill, but we made do..There was a nice firepit with lots of wood. The beds were comfortable.
Every year we take our entire family, 19 of us, on vacation as a gift. This is hands down the best house we’ve ever rented. It’s huge, clean, well stocked with anything imaginable you could possibly need. The location is perfect! The kids had so much fun playing in the lake. And the adults got to relax on the deck without having to worry about the kids needing to be entertained. The kitchen was very well stocked with all types of cookware, utensils, plates, silverware, etc. Except for food, we didn’t have to bring anything with us or buy anything while we were there. There was even an ice maker that made large batches of ice.
Spacious and kid friendly, could have been cleaner
Very spacious and easily accommodated our group of 12 with bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of beds and towels. However, the overall cleanliness and maintenance could have been better. The floors in the whole house and window sills were dirty when we arrived. The bathrooms, kitchens and upstairs fridge also did not seem to have been cleaned, and there was sand and cobwebs in many places.
Well stocked and functional kitchen, though we missed enough mealtime seating for everyone.
The outdoor space was great, very kid friendly and great for adults too. The public beach down the street was a very easy walking distance and truly an amazing beach.
Communication with our host Julie was good, efficient and friendly.
Unfortunately the channel was low and we couldn't get our fishing boat to the dock. The swimming area was very convenient and the house was spacious. We had a great time!
Four generations, lots of outdoorsy activities available. The kayaks were of great use, great the firepit and blackstone, lots of extra seating outside. The checkin process provided all access to the home (not the garage),wifi access, etc, so that worked great. The play area for the kids was awesome! We were pleased with our stay!!! Many fish were caught in 8pointlake (walleye, pike, bass...) lots of fun.
Some things that were different from other VRBO stays - many VRBOs have *new* towels, *new* matching linens, blah blah blah...this place didn't and we were FINE with that...It was a lived in feel - and there were plenty of towels, plenty of beds, linens, fans, AC was cool enough, etc. Great extra kitchen and play room for kids. Great for families:)
We had a large family weekend with 15 people and 1 dog. The kids loved catching many fish right from the dock. The house was roomy and had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the kayaks.
Very nice vacation rental for large families. We had 18 family members from 3 years old to 71 year old. Everyone had a great time. Plenty of together space and separate places. younger kids loved playing on the playground area. Blackstone grill worked really nice. Just a nice fun place for family summer vacation
Very homey place, lots of beds and good location. Only complaint is the lake was a little cold! I Would come back in a heartbeat

We had a lot of fun
The home is very large, It took some time to find all the bedrooms. It has two kitchens. This was awesome for the number of family we had staying. We were here for wedding so unfortunately we didn't had a lot of time to enjoy the property. The address on the is really hard to find.
Plenty of room to spread out even with a large group. The house was as pictured and worked well for our family group coming together from around the U S. Lots of bathroom and kitchen space as well as lots of hot water even when most of us took showers.
Lake is a great lake for boating and hanging out with large groups on the sandbar. Fishing was not great but the pontoon was perfect for what we were looking for just hanging out swimming and putting around. It is very shallow on the channel which makes it tough to get in and out but we just lifted the prop out right at the mouth of the channel and pushed out so we didn't damage anything other than that it is a perfect boat for that lake.

About the host
Hosted by Julie Cunningham
We are a blended family with five children and five grand children. We love to spend time with our family on the lake!
Why they chose this property
We bought this house for our children and grand children to enjoy! We had been renting a house each summer for our family vacation and decided to buy this house. With six bedrooms and three bathrooms, it's perfect! Each adult child has their own room for their family. When we aren't using it, we wanted to provide the opportunity for other families to enjoy it!
What makes this property unique
There are two kitchens so plenty of space for cooking and storing food and drinks. Three bathrooms so no one is waiting. The family room is set up for the kids to enjoy. There's a table for coloring or playing games, a multi game table (foosball, pool, ping pong, etc.) and a tv so the kids can stream their favorites on a rainy day.
