Located in a private wooded setting, Buckeye Bungalow is a romantic one room log cabin perfect for your honeymoon or romantic getaway in the Hocking Hills. All linens and towels provided, It has a private covered back porch with a Hot Tub and chairs to kick back and enjoy the view! All of this is nestled on 20 wooded acres close to Old Mans Cave, Cedar Falls and Ash Cave.

Cute secluded cabin

Cabin was very hard to get to with directions given. But it was very cute and secluded. The only complaint we had was there was dirty clothes/towels in the hamper provided and heat would not work.

Bad timing and communication

In all fairness, we booked at the last minute due to another reservation calling about repairs in the cabin we booked. The first cabin (not Lazy Lane) generously and graciously refunded our deposit along with a verbal conversation. I found Buckeye Bungalow and proceeded with the reservation. (Reservation made on Friday eve, Oct 20) Received a confirmation for my payment in full with an email follow up to keep an eye out for further instructions. Our travel plans began Saturday which resulted in the region that has very little internet, phone service. On Oct 22, we arrived at the cabin location at 4:15 PM thinking it must be open since I did not receive any information from the property. Needless to say, it was not open and we had no way electronically to communicate with the property. I sent an email at 5:30 after driving around looking for information regarding our inability to check in. Luckily, we stopped at Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls and talked to their front desk. They had just had a last minute cancellation for one night, so we took that right away. The next day, I received a reply from Lazy Lane Cabins asking if I had received the packet at the office in which my reply was, I know nothing about that. After 5 attempted phone calls without the calls going thru, we hiked for a day and headed home that night. They offered another 2 night stay before the end of year. No sense of concern for the guest.

Arrive at daylight.

Very difficult to navigate off of verbal directions given in the dark. Clearer directions and better signs would help. Outside property could use a little vegetation maintenance but everything was as described. Could use a thorough cleaning around the baseboards and bathroom drain was a little slow. Enjoyed not having access to mobile phones, it was a nice break from the chaos of everyday life.
