A great location to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Beautiful hills with an array of livestock in lush grazing pastures. On the farm you can enjoy seeing: sheep, cows, horses, llama and even Bob the Donkey. You may want to sit on the large wrap-around deck, with its' amazing sunrise and sunset views, while enjoying your favorite beverage. You will be able to see the starlit night in this beautiful country setting, away from the bright city lights, all while relaxing in the tranquility of this beautiful country location.
We are located in the heart of the bluegrass with many horse farms within a 15 minute drive. For you horserace fans, Keeneland Racetrack, Lexington is an hour away. The Ark Encounter is just over an hour away. Less than 30 minutes you will be able to visit Paris or Mt Sterling. The Barnyard Venue is only 10 minutes away. These are just a few of the great attractions you may want to experience while visiting with us; or you may want to sit back and relax.

We loved being in the country & the quiet relaxing atmosphere. We wanted a place to relax by the pool. We did share the pool with the farmhouse rental, but it all worked out perfectly! We enjoyed our hosts & appreciated their hospitality!!

Wonderful farmhouse

The property is historic with proper updates that make it a wonderful place to stay. The property owner is very friendly and attentive the swimming pool is refreshing on a hot day and well taken care of making it a great place for everyone.

A great getaway

Excellent working farm in the rolling countryside of Kentucky. Host was so kind. Treated us to some of their produce straight from their garden. Gave us a tour of their working fiber mill on the farm that uses their own wool from their sheep and lamas. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. Overall just a quiet restful place to take a step back in time. Looking forward to visiting again in the future

Wonderful farm experience

We visited for 5 days. There were 4 adults and 2 children 3 and 6. We stayed in the Lodge. The property was spacious and very well maintained. The kids enjoyed the farm experience, and was able to feed the horses and play in the large yard area. There were cows, sheep, llamas, horses and a couple very friendly farm cats. The owner of the property was so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking to get away for a relaxing vacation.

AMAZING GET AWAY!

This property met all our expectations and then some. We arrived in the evening and were greeted and made very welcome. The lodge was very clean and functional. We felt very relaxed and our host was very gracious in showing us around and allowing us to pet the animals. We were also given a tour of the mill and our host kindly showed us how they use the wool to make certain things . We learned a lot about what it takes to operate a farm . This vacation has made many memories for us and our daughters and we are considering returning for another vacation! For anyone wishing to get away from it all ,this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Stay in Horse Country

Wonderful place with wonderful people. This is about an hour from everything. We flew in from Minneapolis to Cincinnati and then stayed in a hotel there the first night so we could do the Creation Museum the next day. Then we drove to this modest farm which takes you through beautiful winding roads of the horse and cattle hill country of Kentucky. From the farm, we did the Ark Encounter, Natural Bridge park, and the Kentucky Horse Park during the week. There is a swimming pool on site as well as a hot tub. Wi-Fi exists and is functional but you won’t be uploading any videos to YouTube with it. Verizon was spotty at the farm. There are no mosquitoes, and the animals of the farm greet you almost as warmly as the owner. This is a fantastic spot from which to basecamp on vacation from the world!

The owners were extremely polite and accommodating. They checked on us numerous times and gave us a tour of the farm and the mill. We spent time feeding the chickens, horses, and cattle. Wonderful place to stay.Thank you, it was a pleasure to meet you. I'm sure we will be back soon!

All I can say is this is amazing place to stay. The guests are great people and could not ask for more out of them. We had a good time even hanging out with them. I just told my wife that we should book a trip and go down there and hang out if I could give more than five stars. I definitely would. They are awesome people. Thanks for a great time.
