Pros: The location was great, close to downtown. The house was clean. Cons: There were limited towels. There were no hangers in the closet which made storing clothes difficult. It would have been nice if there was a broom or vacuum for renters to use.
Me and my girl friends stayed for 2 nights and this cozy cabin was a perfect stay for a relaxing weekend. Close enough to plenty of restaurants and tourist sights, but secluded enough if you just want to stay in and watch Netflix! Overall everything was perfect!

Roomy Cabin But Issue With Dampness & Bed Bugs
Cabin was very spacious, and great location. However, there was a slight odor of dampness and mildew. I realize, that back in the woods, with humid weather, this may happen…so we were willing to look past this. But, on the last day, my daughter woke up with marks and bumps on her arms. When we checked her mattress we found bed bugs. We contacted the office and they said they’d have an exterminator check it out, but we were leaving the area anyway.
This cabin was just as picturesque as what you would d imagine staying in Gatlinburg, TN.It was very clean amd well stocked with the essentials. The location was a short drive 10 min or so from the main strip though town. The whole family truely enjoyed their stay. We would 100% book this cabin again for future stays. Thank you for having us.
Was not very clean.Pour water pressure in the showers. The dryer did not dry the clothes very good at all. Did not have enough hand towels in the kitchen, the bathroo towels and washclote sandpaper. I was very disappointed in this cabin
The place was clean, adorable and easy to find. Great location. Communication was easy. Only concerns were there wasn’t a door for privacy for the bedroom upstairs. There also wasn’t a privacy screen for the hot tub since it faced the front “yard”/ culdesac so we were hesitant to use it. Otherwise, it was a great little place to stay for the weekend for our volleyball tournament.
So so happy with our stay at the Highlander Haven and with Park Side Cabin Rentals! Check in was easy. We got an email with instructions and door codes, and the office was a 5 minute drive from the cabin when we went to get parking passes for downtown Gatlinburg. So grateful for the free parking passes as it saved us a lot of money!! We came down for our honeymoon, and Park Side was so accommodating to us. Our cabin was super clean, and property management were extremely kind and easy to get a hold of. They even accommodated an extra night stay at a reasonable price last minute due to the snow. So so happy and will definitely be staying with them when we return to Gatlinburg.
Very happy with everything it was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you very much,,
I will tell all me Friends about this place a your Business .we think maybe next year we will do it again
Thank you again
Properties in close proximity with other homes, not a fan of. Great management. House had great amenities, clean and well kept. More positives than negatives. Downside was work being performed on next door house..very disruptive and noisy.
The room was clean and well furnished. The check in process could be updated to contactless but that is only my preference. Booking agency provided free downtown parking which was a huge bonus. Overall a great stay in a private quiet setting!
Nice property. Very casual. Took advantage of pool table and hot tub.
Suggestions - new shower curtain in master, light out in laundry, bigger towels and add a few games.
This was a weekend soccer tournament trip with not alot of time to explore or experience Gatlinburg. This home was perfect for us as far as access to the complex, pool table and hot tub for some added fun. Food City is minutes away as well as various restaurants. Beds were very comfortable. Its on a wooded culdesac street with I think 5 other homes so it was not private but quiet for the most part. We would definitely book again for another tournament weekend.

When booking this cabin, I didn’t realize we would be working with a property management company otherwise I would have booked with someone else. We get to the house to find out you have to go to the “check in” building (14 min away from the cabin) to get our code because they needed to scan my ID. Point of Vrbo is the convenience of not having to do that. While staying there, a storm rolled through and knocked out the power from 2pm until 5am. The problem was, we couldn’t contact the electric company for an update since the landline didn’t work and we didn’t have their number, then we couldn’t find any flashlights. Luckily my husband brought one but 5 people had to use one flashlight. They gave us an emergency number to call if needed and when we did to find out where the flashlights were and what the estimated time for the power to come back on, they refused to answer our calls (left multiple VMs and called a min of 12x) even though they had no idea why we were calling. So much for an emergency number… When we brought up our concerns, a man named Dakota told us, “oh well”, “it wasn’t an emergency” and he refused to help us. In the end, we are very unhappy and will never use Parkside Management company again. We come up to Gatlinburg every few months and have never had an issue before.
In addition to the main issue above, the floor was extremely dirty so we had to wear socks and shoes our whole stay and the kitchen was barely stocked up with things to use for our stay.
The pictures make you feel like you are in the middle of the woods with noone around. That was not the case. You are surrounded by other cabins and they are close. We were hoping for a quiet, peaceful trip and instead was up late every night hearing other ppl talking and partying. We ended up leaving a day early. There were no hangers and it was pretty dusty with old toothpaste on the bathroom walls. The silverware was not clean and yet, was put away for use. I re-washed everything. Other than that, if you could take the cabin and really put it by itself, it wouldve been great.
