Reviewer Comments:
Online the unit looks decent, but first impressions upon arrival prevailed for our stay. After driving 15 hours we arrived to a unit that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned on the outside in years. The front-door vestibule was covered in spider webs and various mud hives were dangling from the ceiling. The front stairs have not been power washed in more than a year. The front door itself is dirty and needs to be repainted. Upon entry we noticed much dust and did contact Seashore. Seashore sent the cleaning crew out the next day, but items considered “deep clean” were not handled. The bbq grill remained covered in cheese from the previous renter’s dinner, the vestibule was not even touched. Personally, the management company should have the exterior cleaned for each arrival as it sets the tone. According to the website the property is checked by Seashore before the next renter is granted access, but that’s doubtful. The second bedroom has no bed frame, it’s just a mattress on top of a foundation shoved against the wall. The tv does not work in there either. The owner needs to put some money into overhauling both showers before it’s rented. I did report seeing drain fly larvae in second bathroom but no attention was given, and the master shower has mold surrounding the old shower frame. You can only see the mold when you get in to shower, so maybe that’s why it’s not handled, but not what I want to pay for on vacation. Seashore should not rent for the owner until money is put into unit. No comforts of home as the couch is fit for a child, just an uncomfortable unit. Back deck is peeling and unmaintained. The 20-minute bike ride to Beach Club so s a bit far, but nice trails in Sea Pines.
