Overall, we had a very nice stay at the cabin. The porch was definitely a highlight for us—we spent a lot of time out there playing cribbage and relaxing in the hot tub. The hot tub was very clean and enjoyable. The only issue was that the jet power was a little lacking, as the dial didn’t seem to be functioning properly.The cabin itself had a cozy, warm, and inviting feel, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. I did notice that there wasn’t an oven, although I realized afterward that this was noted in the listing—I just hadn’t noticed it when I originally booked.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the comfortable, welcoming atmosphere of the cabin. Sherry was very responsive to our concerns, as we noted the grill and porch chairs were in disrepair. She said she would replace these items. Also, our A/C went out had she had it repaired the next day.

Great Cabin away from traffic

The cabin was great, it was nice being pretty much the same distance between both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so we could get to both pretty easy.

Cabin is far enough from hustle and bustle but still close enough for shopping and restaurants and hiking. The host provides a great getaway, a nice stocked kitchen/ popcorn machine , games and nice comfy bedrooms. The porch is so inviting with a hot tub and rocking chairs, we loved that it had rained some while we were sitting on the porch very soothing.Saw a few deer and some rabbits. Great communication with Sherry , would highly recommend this cabin. Loved the bear theme throughout the cabin also. A 10 out of 10 , we so enjoyed our stay .

Great vacation

The cabin was beautiful and away from the busy tourist area which was a plus. Views were beautiful. The hot tub was a great spot to enjoy these views. And with the fully stocked kitchen it made spending and making Thanksgiving dinner so much easier. I would recommend this vacation spot to anyone!

Family Getaway

About 30 minutes from the hustle and bustle, this cabin was a great getaway. The beds were comfy, the hot tub was awesome and the ice maker/coffee bar was a nice feature. Communication with Sherry was quick. Enjoyed our stay.

We loved this cabin so much! We felt right at home there and even wished it was ours. It's a ways away from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but it was worth the drive. We hope to come back.

Great House

The house is as advertised, clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the private setting, coffee bar and ice machine. The beds were comfortable and the big living room tv was great. We usually hike a lot while visiting the area but this trip we spent more time relaxing at the house. It really felt like home!

Home Away From Home

I live and work in Florida, and my son, daughter in law and 3 grandkids are in Michigan. I bought this beautiful log home in Cosby Tennessee. We all love the mountains, and this is about half way between. We come often and enjoy the family time together. There are so many things to do. My granddaughters 12 & 8 love Dollywood, I think they would like to live there. I am excited that the worlds largest Buc-ee's is being built just 10 miles from my Mystical. My favorite part of the day... always, games at the dining table with the kids before they go off to bed, and then out to the front porch. I could rock all night long and listen to the night sounds......It is a fantastic time to catch up with our long distant lives. I am happy to share my mountain paradise in the Great Smoky Mountains. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this property right away. Private and quiet....and of course, that huge front porch. You feel like you are way out in the sticks, but you are not. Just 2 miles from the DG Market with groceries, meats and produce as well as household items. In just 1 1/2 miles you are at Carver's~ Family Restaurant~ Fruit and Vegetable Market, with homemade jams and jellies. And the candy store, and yes, I admit it, I visit that place every time I am at the Mystical. They have handmade candy, and many selections of the old fashioned candy that I ate as a kid. I have to make a few suggestions, however, I am sure that everything there is fantastic. The caramels, the turtles, the chocolate Oreos. And at the restaurant, their catfish, meatloaf, fried chicken and fried pork chops are delicious. And just down the road a piece is Janice's diner. Also fabulous home cooking and an incredible choice of homemade cake.
. You can just stay at the cabin and relax and visit the nearby restaurants and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, just 5 miles away. Or you can head off to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville all just a 20 minute drive away.  And then back to The Mystical Mountain for peace and quiet and sitting on the porch, or in the hot tub and possibly some wildlife viewing.  We have spotted and photographed great horned owls, bear, and deer on the property, as well as the little critters, squirrels, opossum and raccoons, as well as many beautiful birds and butterflies.

What makes this property unique

Near all of the attractions that east Tennessee has to offer....Dollywood, white water rafting, dinner theaters, the tram, the skywalk. Yet, Private and quiet, surrounded by huge trees, and mountains., with that fantastic porch the whole width of the house. Rocking chairs, freestanding hammocks, and a 5 person hot tub= Fresh water for you! We clean the filter and change the water between each guests stay and refill the bromine floater.
