We stayed here as part of a larger group attending a wedding at Bay Pointe Inn. This cottage was a great place to use over the weekend. Convenient location with a beautiful setting.
Great would like to have kitchen towels not just the paper towels. We like to cook breakfast in the cottage. A large kitchen grill would be nice. Everything was great.
We arrived to a filthy place after driving very far. There was beer and coffee cream on the table, a garbage bag hanging on on of the chairs, there was another full garbage bag on the kitchen floor, the beds weren’t made, dirty towels all over the floor and we were completely disappointed. When we reached the owner, he was unapologetic and simply said “send me pictures to prove you didn’t make the mess and I’ll refund you”. This was not a great way to celebrate our 22 year wedding anniversary.
We came with 7 adults, cottage had plenty of room. When we walked in the cottage was very clean and well kept. It had all the amenities that we needed from silverware to coffee maker and pots and pans. The bathroom was stocked with clean towels, which we for the most part brought our own. It has a very nice deck area which overlooks the lake, and a really nice dock which looked to be brand new. Paddleboats and canoes were there for us to use. Edgar, the host was awesome and helped us with any questions that we had. We definitely had a blast and would definitely stay at this Cottage again!
We rented out both properties. Both were clean and well equipped with all your needs. The lake is amazing- definitely the star of the stay! Clean, warm & sandy. We basically just hung out in the lake the entire 4 days. Lots of toys to use...paddleboards, kayaks, etc. Rental of boat is also a great perk. Owner very responsive. We really loved Gun Lake!
We rented out both houses for our big family. It was a combination of siblings, grandkids, and grandparents. Everyone had a bed. The houses were super clean. We had so much fun. The houses are both set up like a hotel. You just need to bring food, drinks And beach towels.
The cottage is super cute and fit us all well. We were told that we would be sharing the water toys however I wasn't expecting to share the small front yard with the house that sits behind this cottage. The front yard is super small and it was awkward with having strangers literally sitting next to you. Not much privacy.
