The Winchester Retreat

Welcome to the Winchester Retreat! We are located right off of 1-64, in Winchester near Lexington and the Red River Gorge. We're right down the street from Winchester's downtown, boasting restaurants, breweries, and shops. Pet friendly!! Come relax in our luxurious jetted tub, spend an evening by the fire pit, and whip up a great dinner using our fully stocked kitchen or charcoal grill. We're just a couple of miles from Legacy Grove Park, complete with a walking trail and dog park. Make yourself comfortable, stay a while, and experience what we have to offer at the Winchester Retreat!


My wife and I live in the basement of the property, but we have a separate entrance and driveway and the floors are not connected at all. We will always pull your privacy first, but if you need anything we are able to help quickly with our proximity.

Location had pros and cons
House was comfortable. Neighborhood was mixed use with some traffic noise. Host was responsive. 35 minutes to Red River Gorge. Convenient to freeways and parkway.

Great house tucked away in Winchester!
The host was amazing! They were very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. We didn’t have many. The house was very clean and tidy. We will definitely come back when we visit family or come to red river gorge!!

Loved the space and amenities but really enjoyed how close the vrbo was to the downtown area and how perfect it was in proximity to my meetings. The owner was quick to respond any time I needed to communicate!
