We are taking extra precautions and adding additional cleaning to all of our homes and condominiums, including:

• Increased hand washing for all employees & use of disposable gloves and masks

• Employees will stay home if sick.

• Housekeeping has always used and will continue to use anti-viral disinfectants on applicable surfaces. including, but not limited to, counter tops, appliances, light switches and doorknobs.

• Use of a professional laundry service for the linens. They use special cleaning products that are effective towards killing viruses/bacteria, in addition to washing in high temperatures.

• Use professional tools, including microfiber rags, large and small brushes, melamine foam sponges, and floor mops with replaceable cleaning pads.

• High-touch areas are cleaned and scrubbed with every cleaning, including light switches, fan pull chains, remote controls, cabinet knobs, appliance handles, kitchen counters, etc.

• Guests can check in directly to home, avoiding contact with others.

We were very disappointed with this unit upon check-in. We have stayed at this property for many years and this was, unfortunately, the worst experience we’ve had.The unit showed clear signs of poor maintenance and lack of preparation:-The ski jacket closet was filled with miscellaneous items and trash-Furniture was visibly worn, with beat-up pieces and broken cabinets-The safe was not working-Only one phone in the unit, and it only worked in speaker mode-Kitchen Drawers contained random items-The couch was in poor condition-Drapes were not functioning-The coffee machine was old, and there was no coffee or bottled water provided upon arrival, unlike other units we’ve stayed inAdditionally, the unit was advertised as a 3-bedroom, but it is actually a 2-bedroom plus a den, which is misleading and impacted our stay.This property has historically met high standards, which made this experience particularly disappointing. We hope management addresses these issues so future guests receive the quality that is advertised.

Lionshead 3 bedroom condo

Beautiful residence Excellent attention and service by the Ritz Carlton staff. We loved staying there and appreciated the lovely decor and mountain view and all the amenities. Unfortunately, some of the furniture needs replacement (the kitchen table was unstable and rocked whenever we sat down)and mattresses were old and uncomfortable.The property was not as listed. The walls weren’t white as shown and the beds were not as described (one bed instead of two in the third bedroom) also there were not enough glasses. The Ritz Carlton was quite accommodating and helpful whenever we needed attention- for example- a stuck closet door, broken light bulb, tub drain broken- all taken care of immediately. Housekeeping was excellent. Also the valet service was outstanding. We loved staying there.

We, unfortunately, had several issues with this Ritz unit.- It had a terrible odor on arrival. Pet related type of odor. Ritz maintenance came and sprayed room spray for us. - Generally, things were just in disarray. Every single hanging picture was crooked or misplaced. Furniture was scratched and ridiculously worn. Lamps don't fit on bedside tables and are hanging off to the side. The sofa had an unpleasant odor. Lamp shades were hanging on unscrewed and lopsided. Water would not drain in one of the bathrooms.- The patio door would not lock. We had to call maintenance every day we wanted to lock it to come use some tool to get it locked.- The window shades in one bedroom would not raise. So much for that mountain view. - The curtains in the master bedroom were falling off the track. We reattached them each night. - There is no storage for food in the kitchen; Almost all of the cabinets are owner locked. - The unit is extremely dark and not well lit. - The unit and the decor is very dated. This is the first time we've ever had an issue at the Ritz in Vail. And we've stayed there dozens and dozens of times. I would not recommend this unit, and I'm shocked Berkshire holds this out as an exclusive stay. It's nowhere near the quality it should be for the money.
