Thank you so much Shannon for your kind words! I’m so glad the home provided everything you needed and that you enjoyed the peaceful setting. I couldn’t agree more, the drive into Nacogdoches is such a beautiful one. We’d love to welcome you back anytime for another relaxing stay!
Cabin was absolutely beautiful and very clean. The outdoor deck was a fabulous spot to hang out with the family. My only negatives…were the extra firm beds and not being able to access the open water, even with waders, due to sinking in the mud. Adding a couple of paddle boats- 1 for each cabin- would be a huge bonus, but you can’t help the lake levels. All in all, we had a fabulous stay.
Great communication, lovely cabin! Had everything we needed for a nice stay. We didn’t get to use any of the property amenities (fire pit, deck, etc. - were only there to sleep), but would love to come back for the full experience!

Cabin was very cute and comfortable. View was great but wish we had been informed that lake level was super low. That was disappointing. The parking area not being close to cabin was inconvenient. The main complaint was the coffee pot being filthy! Whoever cleans obviously does nor check the coffee pot because it looked like the used filter had been there for a while. Had mold growing. Very disappointing for use since we are avid coffee drinkers.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad to hear that you found the cabin cute and comfortable and enjoyed the view during your stay.
Regarding the lake levels, those are controlled by natural conditions and water management authorities and unfortunately are not something that hosts are notified about in advance or able to predict. Guests who are planning activities on the lake are always welcome to ask prior to arrival, and I’m happy to provide any information I have at that time. Lake conditions are ultimately in God’s hands and can change frequently.
I do wish you had reached out during your stay regarding the coffee pot. I was not notified of any issues while you were at the cabin, and had I been made aware, I would have immediately sent someone to replace or clean it so you could fully enjoy your morning coffee.
As for parking, the listing photos and description show the layout of the property so guests can see the distance from the parking area to the cabin before booking.
We appreciate you staying with us and always welcome direct communication during a stay so that any concerns can be resolved right away.
The property was beautifully decorated and communication with the host was fantastic. They went above and beyond supplying fishing guide/general information. There are two cabins on 5 acres and has a wonderful area to grill and hangout with friends/family.

Thanks again!
If you need a place to get away from it all, this is the place. Luxury cabins nestled in the Angleine Forest. Spectacular lake front view. So quiet you can hear a pin drop. The owners of the property did not forget a thing. All you need is food, snacks, beverages etc. The cabin was beautifully decorated and I felt right at home. Best shower head. Comfy mattress and bedding, plush bath towels and the smell of the cabin is amazing. The Ravares are the true definition of Super Hosts! Book now,, go see for yourself, you won't be disappointed 😉 check out their other property, the Camp La Vie Barndominum, you will forget you are miles from home! 5 Star all the way!

About the host
Hosted by Pamela Ravare
We are the Ravare's! We have been married for 31 years and for as long as we can remember we have dreamed of owning our very own LAKEFRONT PROPERTY! We have spent the last eight months building these beautiful cabins, not only for our family to enjoy, but for your family and friends too. We hope that during your stat you will experience true joy, peace and tranquility, which are some of the things we love the most about escaping to the beautiful Lake Sam Rayburn!
Why they chose this property
The property is nestled in the piney woods of east Texas on Lake Sam Rayburn. The first time we visited the lake in 2018, we fell in love with it's beauty, the calmness of the water, the serene surroundings and the small town feel of the areas surrounding the cabins. We love to boat and fish and this is truly a boaters and fisherman's paradise! We feel blessed to be able to share this little slice of paradise with you!
What makes this property unique
Texas Parks and wildlife rates the fishing excellent year-round for largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish on Lake Sam Rayburn. There are many cute and quaint little towns around Lake Sam Rayburn, including Lufkin, Huntington, Zavalla on the west side of the lake; and Woden, Etoile, Chireno and Broaddus on the east side of the lake. Visitors to the area can enjoy dining at the local restaurants in the towns and shopping for antiques, gifts and clothing, etc. in nearby towns. During certain times of the year, you can enjoy the festivals and arts, craft shows that are held throughout the year in each town.
There are three boat launch sites withing 8 miles of the Cabins; Shirley Creek Marina is 8 miles away; Ralph McAllister Park is 3 miles away and Etoile Park is 7 Miles away.
