Overlooking the Missouri River and majestic Riverhills, Cherry Creek Lodge is located just three miles from the Platte Creek boat dock and Gray State Public Shooting Area. Fishing, boating, beach-front nearby, hiking, hunting, and so much to explore, this home-away-from-home will not disappoint.

Cherry Creek Lodge is a newly remodeled, three-bedroom, two-bathroom log cabin that has numerous modern upgrades you may not expect with country living. A secluded driveway will lead you to the oversized two-car garage, cement pad with additional parking for boats or trailers.

Once inside, the main level provides an open concept design to relax and entertain. Enjoy the stunning sunsets from the deck while you grill out or cozy up next to the stone fireplace with a good book you downloaded using our high speed WIFI. During your stay, you will be delighted by the attention given to every detail - from the touchscreen mirror in the bathroom, to the hand-scraped subway tile, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. The large kitchen island seats up to four people comfortably while the dining table has enough space for up to six. At the end of the day, retreat into the master bedroom, unwind with a movie on the 42" HD TV and then enjoy a good night's sleep on a brand new pillow top mattress.

Your guests will enjoy their stay at Cherry Creek Lodge as well! You all can relax by the stacked stone gas fireplace and watch a movie on the 65" 4K UHD LED Roku Smart TV. If you'd rather unplug from it all, enjoy the indoor/outdoor living with walkout access to the lower level patio. A second bathroom is for the guests sleeping in the other two bedrooms, (two twin beds in one room and one queen in the other). They come fully furnished with 43" 4K UHD LED TV and ample closet space. Guests sleeping in the bedroom with the second queen bed can enjoy their own private walkout furnished with a hanging egg swing chair under Edison bulb lights.

Cherry Creek Lodge also welcomes dogs! As pet lovers ourselves, we take our four-legged family members on vacation too! That is why we provide a 5x5x6 kennel for your dog to stay outside/in garage at no additional charge. We appreciate you keeping your dogs out of the lodge. Some of our guests may have allergies so please keep the dogs outside where they have plenty of space to run and play.

Great Stay

Our group of 5 friends stayed and we were very happy with the cabin and its location. We met for a weekend of fishing. The cabin is a short drive to the boat ramp. Very happy with the amenities, the cabin fit the needs of our group of five guests perfectly.

Great family weekend!

It was the perfect place to spend a staycation with family and celebrate my sons bday. The fire pit was beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed. We loved it. I think the cleaning person forgot about the floors, fridge, and upstairs tub. But other than that it was perfect!

As high school sweethearts, Dustin and I have been together for most of our lives. We started dating a couple weeks before Y2K and the rest is history. We're best friends and, at times, frenemies. 🙂 We're both a touch stubborn, a bit loud, and very passionate about living life to it's fullest.

We have 2 speeds. Chillaxing or 100-miles-an-hour. We're either out making memories on the hunting deer, playing on the sand volleyball court, getting in a quick 9 holes, knocking out a Pinterest project, trying a new recipe on the grill, getting lost on the river… or being utter couch potatoes. We love Netflix marathons as much as we love gaming with friends on the PS4 for hours. We balance work, life, play as much as we can.

Our oldest golden retriever, Pux, came into the picture in 2014. Born on ground hog's day, he's the biggest sweetheart we know. He is a great food tester and loves to run/walk… for short distances. His non stop little brother, Jax, another golden, loves run and cuddles. He, like his momma, has a short attention span but is ever curious.

So this is our modern family. We're non-traditional in many ways but down to earth. We value family and if you follow us, you'll see that many of our adventures and projects involve our blended families.

Our lodge is near our old stopping grounds, Platte, SD. Known for some of the best pheasant and deer hunting as well as a fishing hole, Cherry Creek Lodge has a prime location. Spending time on the river, getting lost in the wilderness, golfing, and enjoying all the benefits the small town life has to offer, Cherry Creek Lodge is a good place to relax.
