About this property
Hacienda de Teresa y Polignac
Rent includes a full staff of cook, housekeeper, manager, and waiter.
Established in 1626, this hacienda is a beautiful oasis in Morelos, aka "the land of eternal spring". About 20 minutes from Tepoztlán, the hacienda has large bedrooms, a pool, and hectares of lush gardens. It’s one of the last remaining haciendas in Mexico that has not turned into a hotel but is run by the family and staff that have been there for generations. It’s a true peek into traditional Mexico - outstanding homemade food, detail-oriented hospitality, and deep history. The space The hacienda stands on a property of about five hectares of gardens divided by a small creek. A stone terrace lies behind an ancient aqueduct, that hides a fresh swimming pool behind fronds of monsteras. In the main building, you can have breakfast by the pool, stay cool in the cantina, read in the long terracotta corridor, and dine by the library which guards the history of the hacienda: stories of Emiliano Zapata, who was harbored by his lover, Ignacio de la Torre, president Porfirio Diaz's son-in-law, then owner of the hacienda; photos of the family at the beginning of the XXth century, and the visit of Prince Rainier III of Monaco with his wife Grace Kelley. Guest access The guests can access all the rooms, patios, terraces, pools, and gardens. The kitchen is reserved for the cooks and staff but they can be accommodating to your needs.
Every room has its own bathroom and the layouts are as follows: - Tabu: King bed, desk, living room - Uno: Two full beds, couch, and coffee table - Fume Compadre: Two full beds, couch, and coffee table - Que Remedio: Full bed, couch, and coffee table - Sal Si Puedes: King bed, living room - La Reja: King bed, two twin beds, living room, bathtub - El Verde: Two twin beds, living room Other things to note Please contact us for details before booking.
