We loved everything about our stay, and this villa was great for our family. The property manager, Thomas, was great! Definitely recommend if anyone is planning to stay in St Lucia!
Wonderful stay in a great location for Castries and northern part of island
Clean, spacious 2nd floor of house atop a hill looking over the Castries port. Don't be put off by security bars on doors and windows - we had no issues. Because on a hill, breezes flow through the house, and you can open the double doors leading to the balcony and sit out there and watch the birds, the port and the vistas (including Martinique in the distance when it is clear). Master bedroom is air-conditioned - just close the blinds and all doors leading out of the room if going to use.
Good and prompt communication with owners and property manager via Whats App. Detailed directions on finding house (if coming up the hill from Castries, Old Military Road drops sharply to the left of the road sign). They identified a glitch with the WiFi before I knew of it; it was promptly addressed and no further issues. (Cleaner accidentally unplugged power strip from 220/110 converter).
Minutes from Castries and a nearby grocery by car. Walked to La Toc beach (10 minute walk via the Sandals road that is just across the street from the driveway). Well stocked with games for families and adults.
Kitchen is very well equipped, including microwave. We cooked most meals; you'll need to bring everything except salt and pepper.
If you're noise sensitive, you will hear the planes and helicopter from the airport on the other side of the port, but it is not a busy airport (approx. 12 incoming and 12 outgoing commercial flights (propeller) per day in June.
We would happily return.
Everything was excellent. Clean and everything there for a great stay. It was fun to watch the cruiseships come and go. Could hear the city vibe lying in bed. And the best was the roosters crowing at 1am. Awesome view! Miss the place already. Will be back.
We enjoyed our stay at the Seascape Villa very much. The property was as-advertised. The property manager Wilbertha was great to work with. Each time we had a question, she was very prompt in getting back to us with a helpful response. Highly recommended!
If you’re looking for views of the harbor and capital, this is your rental! We enjoyed watching the cruise ships come and go in the small bay by Castries. It is spacious, centrally located, and works well for a family of four. Lots of board games to entertain our teens, and we all got hooked on Blokus, which we immediately purchased after we got home. Communication was excellent! Wilbertha was very responsive and helpful and one of the best property managers I have seen in action (pre-arrival and during our stay). For example, when we reported the water pressure and temperature in our bathrooms, she immediately had a plumber look into the issue. More feedback is below:
Kitchen – We cooked in for most of our meals, so having a spacious kitchen with all the necessary tools and cookware was nice.
Balcony – We spent a lot of time on our patio, soaking in the harbor views and enjoying the Caribbean breeze. This was my favorite space to retreat to.
Location – Pretty central, 30-40 mins to Pigeon Island and 1 ½ hrs to Soufriere. We rented a car, which gave us more flexibility and freedom to explore the various attractions but driving in St Lucia is not for the faint of heart (steep hills, giant potholes, hairpin bends).

About the host
Hosted by Tanya Cox
I am a homemaker, wife and mother of three. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, St. Lucia has been my home for 30 years. In 2015 we relocated from St. Lucia to Nairobi, Kenya due to my husband's posting with the United Nations Environment Program. In 2019 we relocated to Panama City, Panama where we currently reside. We have been renting out our home since 2015 but only recently started short-term rentals. We enjoy travelling, sightseeing, going to the beach and dining out! Welcome to Saint Lucia and we hope you enjoy your stay!
Why they chose this property
We built our home in 2003 on my husband's family land that had been passed down to us by my late father-in-law. We wanted our home to be welcoming and down-to-earth with a Caribbean-style vibe, a place that makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. What makes this home special is that we raised our family in this home for almost 20 years and it holds many fond memories that we will forever cherish. The home has that lived-in feel with all the amenities and features that guests would expect and love.
What makes this property unique
What we love about our home is the million-dollar view from our large balcony. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning and offers panoramic views of the Castries Harbour and the Caribbean Sea to the north. On a clear day, you can even see the neighbouring island of Martinique to the north.
