The Laurentides sector of the Exo public transit network links Saint-Jérôme to Laval (Montmorency metro station) and passes through the Saint-Janvier area.

This is a great place to stay. There is a fantastic grocery store with a 6 minute walk with lots of great food. We were only 40 minute drive from a major underground station that led us into Montreal. The neighborhood was quiet even though parking was interesting. The only wish I had is
