The house was perfect. While the weather didn't really cooperate still had time to sit on the dock and the porch watching the eagles, osprey, geese, ducks, birds and fishermen. Location near Charlestiwn and NorthEast us freat fir restaurants and shopping

This place is the definition of the perfect getaway for a quick weekend. The home is immaculate, the scenery is beautiful and we feel instantly relaxed here.

Owner cancelled the day of. Beware!

Tried reaching the owner by phone and through the app for 3 days and never got a response. VRBO alsocouldn’t reach him. The morning of the reservation he cancelled the reservation stating the heater was broke. He left us stranded without any options. I do not believe there was a furnace issue. I believe he was surprised by the reservation and wasn’t ready for us. Very poor way of doing business and very poor communications! To add to the insult, he didn’t return the money and VRBO had to override him. Beware!!

Fabulous anniversary week on the water!

We had an amazing time at this cottage! The location right on the water is breathtaking. The kayaks were great and we loved visiting the neighboring towns. The owner was super responsive and the house was equipped with everything you needed. We plan to visit again!

Oasis of serenity

This property has my heart. The water, privacy and beauty truly is captivating. I’ve been here several times and honestly hesitate to review because I selfishly want it for myself! This time it was a partial girls trip and recharging time. We are all avid kayakers/paddle boarders and love the water (calm or challenging!) We also rode our own bikes to eat crabs locally & to the C & D river trail, took our own kayaks to Elk Neck State Park as well as a trip to Havre De Grace. Also borrowed the kayaks at the house several times to venture out along the house’s own shore lines for a few hours at a time. We sat by the outdoor fire nightly, enjoyed early morning and late paddles, coffee/wine on the dock, sat on the various porches soaking in God’s beauty and ate there and out at places like Chesapeake City. The only thing I’d loved more is more availability to do it all over again!

Relaxing Vacation

I would highly recommend this location to a small family, 2 couples, a few friends. We did enjoy our stay for a short getaway and spend time with family. The views were good. Area quiet. House was beautiful, fully stocked kitchen to make your favorite meal. Plenty of towels and linens. Washer and dryer provided so no need to pack a lot. The only that would make it a fantastic location would be easier acess to get in the water for the Kayaks or floating toys and a pool for the hot days. The bay water wasnt the cleanest to get in and swim. But overall we did have a good time. Host was easy to get a hold of and responded when we had issues. I would stay there again for a quiet getaway.

We loved this property so much. The yard is huge and the views of the water are breathtaking. The house has its own dock as well as a fire pit and nice farmers porch and screened in porch. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

This house was absolutely amazing! It was very clean and the view from the house is wonderful. The pictures doesn't do justice. Also the house had everything you needed from kitchen utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker and much more. We would definitely stay again!
