Very close to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Short drive to the pier and shops. Home was very clean and was exactly how the pictures looked. Owners were very helpful and quick to reply. We will definitely rent again in the future and recommend to anyone going to Galveston.
Great house, just as advertised! Clean with plenty of towels. Convenient to the seawall, walking distance to just about everywhere you would need. Messaging and communication was excellent. Great value for the money. We loved it!
This home was perfect! We were a minute from the strand, the beach and so many local attractions. We brought our 2 little dogs who loved exploring the back yard. There were so many beds...the home was bigger than featured online. We really appreciated the beach items provided as well.
This place is beautifully decorated and super clean. It’s easy to settle in and get comfortable here. Great location! Host was very quick to answer questions. I will definitely book this house again.

Wonderful House, Incredibly Spacious, Great Location!
This has been our second year staying at this house for Memorial Day and we loved it as much as the first. Everything you need is available, it's a short bike ride to anywhere you would want to go and it easily fit our group comfortably. Looking forward to booking this for next year and having a great time all over again!

Great location, sweet old house and very accommodating owners.
We rent a house every Christmas in Galveston. This is the first house we rented that the owners decorated it with a Christmas tree and decorations in every room. We had a small problem on Christmas Eve where we had to call the owner for help. He was very responsive and the problem was resolved in 20 minutes.

Pay attention to reviews; the 2015 one was right on
Good things first - location; plenty of luggage racks; downstairs (no TV)
From the dangerous, needing-to--be-replaced--long-ago front steps, to the littered back yard, this house was a HUGE disappointment! We could tell from the pictures how ugly and dark it was but not how DIRTY it was! Carpets were so filthy (those on top and those underneath), I kept socks on. Bar stool seats covered with spots; furniture in back bedroom filthy. Couldn't even think about using the kitchen and opted to rely on "solo cups" for needed water. Every surface on main upper floor needed cleaning, painting, repair. Back deck FULL of furniture, some broken. Back yard littered with cans, trash and slats in fence missing. Just totally neglected.....and, so sad as this 100-year old house has great "bones" and could be wonderful. Shame on the owners!
This property checked all of our boxes for a family trip. It was close to the beach and in a decent neighborhood. I was happy to have a washer and dryer available to keep up on laundry as we used it. Thanks for the stay!
It was awesome!!! This home had everything we needed and then some. Richard was amazing and quick on the draw. Highly recommend this vacation home. Thank you for the fabulous memories!!
This house is perfect for a family of 9. It had pretty much everything we needed to accommodate our stay. It was close to the beach, downtown and restaurants. The only thing we questioned, were the size of the beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms. They are listed as a queen but definitely felt smaller. Maybe a double or full? All in all, a very nice place to stay and the owners were easy to communicate with.
The house worked perfect for our party of 6 for a pre cruise stay. We could walk to the beach, places to eat and walk around the nice neighborhood. The house was clean, had all items we needed and the deck and yard were well maintained.
We evacuated her from New Orleans due to Ida. The management made special exception and allowed us to bring our small dog and cat. We really appreciated this! Thank you! We loved the location, as we were blocks away from the beach and the beautiful hotel to have brunch and the waterside amusement park. The floor plan was perfect for our 2 families and we enjoyed the front and back porches. Also, it was a quick trip to Houston for shopping. Thank you again for your hospitality!
Nice house with plenty of rooms/beds and right next to the beach. It was fully stocked with dishes, bedding, towels, games, books, TVs, and much more, which made us feel right at home.
The only downside was the large cockroaches that we came across in the kitchen and living spaces. Not exactly fun to find crawling around when I reached for a bag on the kitchen counter.
Other than that we did enjoy our stay and would still recommend this home.
We enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Run. Most everything you need is supplied. Communication with the owner was easy and he had helpful information regarding places to eat and some things to do and see. Check-in was also easy. A short walk to the beach and Seawall.
Perfect location and would definitely recommend!! We enjoyed the ease of location, house for everyone's needs and owners where very easy to get ahold of as well as checked in on us during our stay. Will rent again if available on another trip!
Cute home, with plenty of room to roam. Everyone enjoyed their areas of the home. Loved the kitchen, comfortably stocked with kitchen gear to make meal that make memories. Kids love the back yard porch, felt like we were in a tree house. Short walking to beach and close enough to just everything but secluded enough to be out of the busy tourist light. The owners of the home are wonderful, very attentive to our needs. Made it very a great experience. Would do again.
I loved the house and my family did also. It was nice and clean and had everything you need. It is better than a motel/hotel could ever be and the price was great. It is very family friendly and love the neighborhood. I would definitely stay again.

Condition not that good
The condition of the property is not that good. Low water pressure in showers and the shower heads leaked, Not much hot water, Says parking in garage but a layer of concrete was added to the garage floor and that made the door height to low to get anything in it. That's the reason we booked one with the garage where I could park my golf cart inside, but I couldn't. Add says two tv's upstairs had cable and two downstairs was dvd only but one of the upstairs did not work. Called the host (I guess the owner) about the tv, and back door not locking. Did not answer so I sent him a text and after two days he sent me a text saying he was sorry about the door not locking and the tv not working. I ask him could he call me and he said he was on vacation. Well so was I! Property does need updating. We did have a good time on our vacation though.. Would not rent another house though.
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was perfect for us and our fur babies. Checkin process was smooth and location is perfect. We would rent it again if we visit Galveston again.
