Listen to the waves from the partially covered back deck with outdoor dining, living area, and lounge chairs and beach view. Open floor plan with living, dining and kitchen flowing together. Three bedrooms (1 down and 2 up) and two bathrooms (1 down and 1 up) with sleeping for 8+. Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped & modern kitchen with side by side refrigerator, wine rack, granite counter tops and island, microwave, dishwasher, smooth top stove, oven, pantry and washer/dryer. On the ground floor you can grill on the Weber charcoal grill, clean fish in the outdoor sink, nap in the hammock, swing in the under house swing, wash sand off in the outdoor shower, and gather the beach chairs, cooler, umbrella and toys to take to the beach. Your beach home has everything you will need for a relaxing vacation getaway!

Close to the Beach was everything we needed to make our trip a memorable experience. One of the best stocked homes we have stayed in. Everything was provided and everything plentiful. The location was perfect, being able to sit on the back deck and watch the ocean waves was very relaxing. Our host met our needs and answered our questions quickly and efficiently. We definitely recommend this property if you are planning on a trip to Galveston Island. You won’t be disappointed.

We appreciated the prompt communication from the owner and clear instructions for check in and check out as well as operation of the Roku. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a lot of seating on multiple decks. It is a short walk to the beach but unfortunately the view is somewhat obstructed by palm trees when you are seated on the back deck. We could hear the waves which was nice.

We had a wonderful time at Susan’s property which we have been renting for at least fifteen years. The kitchen is well equipped and the grandchildren can walk to the beach in under two minutes. We will be back next July to do it again!

This was our fourth year here and we LOVED every minute, as always. The house feels like a home. There is literally everything you need for a beach stay…towels and toys and a stocked kitchen and more. Our family has grown through the years as we stayed and this year we were there with two grandchildren. Absolutely wonderful and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We didn’t bring our dog this year, but we have the past three times and it’s so dog friendly too. You cannot beat the location. Choose this house!

Beautiful property that will fit all your needs! This house is loved and very well taken care of and it's also close to the beach with views of the surf from the bedroom balcony and the back balcony. Fully furnished balconies made this perfect for us as we enjoy spending time outside in the morning and evenings!This nicely decorated and very clean house was perfect for our family vacation. Stocked well and everything was easy to find and use. Beach equipment was clean and a great bonus for us!The neighborhood is quite and clean with restaurants close by.

Fun in the sun!

We had a great time…house was very clean and had every amenity you may need. The property is so close to the beach you can walk. Great communication with the host…if I had questions she answered within minutes.
