It was really beautiful the house and the view. Had a great time fishing off the pier. The house is very nice would love to stay there again in the near future or another property by the same owner.
This is my 3rd year staying at another of Martine’s places. Another great property. Super quick at responding. House is always clean and has what you need. This location was nearby a shopping center which was really nice. Bass Fishing was great during the spring time at this property.
Traveled to the area for work. It was a great place that was in a great location. Really enjoyed the views of the lake from the deck. The host was great to work with and very accommodating!
The property itself is centrally located to shopping and activities. The space is very clean and is pretty well stocked- towels and most things needed to eat and cook. The backyard leaves a lot to be desired but there is a charcoal grill back there. The coffee maker is finicky and if you do not get it precisely in the right spot, it will leak- so be aware. There are a few games to play, and for anyone that likes dominoes- they are stored in the monopoly game under the microwave. We didn't see them until we had already bought some. The only real complaint (reason for the missing star) that we had was the mattresses, they are abnormally hard in all of the bedrooms. So much so, that I tried sleeping sitting up on the couch and my aunt slept in the living room chair. Keep in mind that this is the lake, so there are many flying critters at night that are attracted to the light. The bottom unit also has a thousand dead ones at the door- they have not been swept up in a while. One last thing, there is a pet fee per day that Martine advised me about after I had paid for the reservation. I was a little taken aback because the fee is not in the policy anywhere as in other listings- so although I had filtered in pet-friendly spaces, when I went to check out, I did not notice the add a pet and therefore it was not added to my total. Also, the writing on the Wi-Fi plate in the upstairs living room is not clear and it says to sign in to 3G, look under the modem.
The property exceeded our expectations.
Clean, quiet, location couldn't be better.
The property is in a better state than the photos show, everything feels brand new and really really clean.
Very much recommended.
Stayed here with my family of four and my in-laws for a summer fishing/water play trip. Probably my fault for not reading carefully, but I didn’t realize the upstairs and downstairs units were not connected on the interior, though it was fine for us. Beds and linens were nice and everything was clean (and I’m a clean freak so I have high standards). We loved having the convenience of the boat dock too. Thanks for hosting us!
Anything replace needs is better sitting at the kitchen table and a better couches and sitting when everybody gets together upstairs, there’s not enough seating for eight people to watch TV otherwise very nice place
The house was great for our group of 4. We fished, bbq’d and enjoyed the great view. Smart TVs were easy to use. Kitchen utensils were well stocked. Air conditioning worked really well. Host was easy to communicate with through text. Very comfortable place to stay.
The lake is right in front of the house, so its easy to do speed boat or kayak and just step back to house.
One thing to note is upstairs and down are not connected from inside, you need to come out and take the stairs from outside to go to bedrooms down stairs
It was fine except the beds were so hard. I didn't sleep well at all. But other than that it was good. There is no places good to eat close by either. It was hard to find. We had to take another little road off of Lakeshore Dr called Kern to get to our B&B. It was not clear in the directions.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
very strong feces smell and unswimmable water
Before we even arrived to the property, we noticed a strong odor that smelled eerily similar to human feces which seemed to be coming from the lake. We stopped by a restaurant while we waited for our check in time and the waitress told us that in the summer, a large algae bloom occurs throughout the lake that causes the whole area near the lake to strongly smell like feces and makes the swim unsafe for humans to swim in. As we got closer to the lake, we noticed that it looked nothing like the photos and instead was an opaque dark green and the smell of feces was even stronger the closer we got to the lake. This was unfortunate because the cabin was right next to the lake so every time a door or window would open, we would be met with the intense and sickening smell. The smell wouldn’t get inside for the most part but at night, every single one of us noticed the smell would get in to the bedroom and it woke us up and made it difficult to fall back asleep.
Information about the lakes algae and associated scent can be found through google if you’d like to learn more.
The cabin was very nice and if it wasn’t for the algae making the water unsafe for swimming, I could see how it could be a nice time. Unfortunately, the listing and communications with the owner made it seem like the lake would be fine for our stay as they never informed us about this situation and when asking about things to do in the area, their primary recommendation was to spend time near/in/on the lake
We enjoyed our stay despite the rain. The place was very new and clean. It was very convenient to have 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Having Safeway only 5 minutes away was really handy for food needs. The views of the lake were outstanding from either upstairs or down. Just a side note: The upstairs was not connected to the downstairs living quarters through the inside, but easily accessible from the outside. The Kitchenette was really cute in the downstairs unit. thank you Martine!
