Welcome to Big Red, your lakefront home-away-from-home located in the heart of the Canadian Lakes community—just an hour north of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

This spacious, family-friendly retreat offers an open floor plan, a huge deck, and plenty of room for the entire family—and maybe a few friends too! Whether you're enjoying quiet mornings by the water or fun-filled days on the lake, this home has everything you need for a memorable stay.

Step out the back door and right onto your private sandy bottom beach and boat dock on a quiet no wake lake—perfect for swimming of all ages, boating, fishing or simply soaking up the sun. Want to get on the water? A 23ft pontoon boat is available for rent during your stay. You can even explore multiple connected all-sports lakes by boat without ever leaving the water!

Looking for a fun twist? Cruise up into a nearby cove by pontoon and pick up pizza, ice cream, or coffee—right off the shore! It’s a one-of-a-kind experience your whole crew will love.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Place all trash bags in the garage.
Put any furniture that you moved back in its original place. Same with games and puzzles etc.
Don’t forget to clean the gas grill if you used it. Thank you.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Place items back where you found them; such as chairs, pots, pans, games, puzzles, appliances, outdoor chairs. etc.
If anything is broken at check in please let the host know immediately to avoid replacement fees. Pick up your dog droppings in the yard.
Bring your own beach and pool towels. If you use the gas grill you are responsible for cleaning it so it is ready for the next guest.

Wonderful place to stay

We had a great time. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep, hang out, and every game imaginable was available. Great back deck and a yard that's great for throwing a ball or a frisbee or anything else. Little beach space perfect for younger children and the kayaking on the lakes is great. Easy to get to and grocery nearby makes cooking for the group easy. Would recommend.

This is a beautiful home with plenty of room for the 15 of us. Everything was as described. The yard and beach area was great for the kids. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boats and having a camp fireto make smores. We had a lot of family fun on the pontoon and fishing was good. We created so many great memories with our adults kids and grandkids. The host was very good with communication and we highly recommend this home.

Great location and property for our group of 16, with kids ages 2 to 17. House was very clean and well maintained, with lots of seating both indoors and out. Our group had great luck with pike fishing, and the little ones really enjoyed the sand and playing in the water. The chain of lakes was nice to paddle boat and kayak on. Host was very responsive and pleasant. Great experience here, and would definitely come to this property again!

The house and property were very nice. We enjoyed our stay but were a little disappointed in the lack of disposable products that were provided. We were running very low on toilet paper by the end of our stay. The kitchen did not have any saran wrap, aluminum foil, ziploc bags, or dishwasher soap/pods. I know these things are probably not required to be at the property, but we appreciate it when they are.

Great house for our family of 12. Very nice place to stay! We had plenty of room and liked the comfy beds and couch. Nicely decorating. Kids enjoyed the sandy beach area, fishing off the dock and going out on the lake with the paddle boat.

This property is made for fun with its open floor plan and full basement to play games and hang out in. There is even a fun bunk room in the basement that any group of kids would love to sleep in. The upper level has a loft with a queen size bed over looking the kitchen, dining and living room. The home offers water views and a huge deck as well as a spacious back yard with a fire pit and private beach and dock.

What makes this property unique

Availability to ALL of Canadian Lakes amenities such as indoor heated pool, hot tub and sauna as well as a fitness center. The property has a Castle with a Winter Park offering Ice skating, a tubing hill and cross country skying.
