My son was attending a scouting event in town and I wanted a place to stay, nearby his event at Fort George- I planned to walk the trails and enjoy the area with my dog. This room was perfect - steps from the trails, what an excellent location! The room was clean and comfortable. I loved the balcony and the check in process was simple. Dedicated parking, extremely comfy bed! The very best part, my dog was allowed and he loved it! We will stay again.
The room was clean, Ben the host was easy to deal with, he had no problem accommodating an early check in for us as we had an early wedding to attend. Not the quietest building, you can hear voices through the walls/doors but running the fan on high overnight helped that. The balcony had a nice view of the Niagara River and harbour.
At first, I was not sure about this place, but it grew on me! We were the only guests for the first night so it was very quiet. Access to part of the balcony was through a windowed door which let in just enough light. The room was cozy and warm. The mattress and bedding were exceptionally comfortable. The shower pressure and temperature was excellent. These three things are the basis of a comfortable stay. The quality of furnishings is obviously well thought out and curated to give the feel of being back in time. There is a large TV so that's a modern comfort, as well as a keurig coffee maker and mini fridge. All the necessary consumables were available in the bathroom too! The host responded quickly. A great place for a restful and quiet stay. Highly recommend if you are going to a show in town or doing a day of shopping and want to get away.

Check in was a complete disaster. if there had not been another couple staying there who helped me out, might have ended up sleeping in my car.
I had no way to connect with the property manager when I was unclear about where to leave my key on departure. But I expect that was a side-effect of making my arrangements through Expedia rather than directly with the manager or using a service that's designed to facilitate that sort of communication.
