Pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. 5 min drive from Ash Cave. Many outdoor activities located nearby. Fully renovated in 2022, this home offers a relaxing and comfortable experience for guests. The master suite includes breathtaking views, gas fireplace, queen bed and private ensuite bathroom with double sinks, soaking tub and separate shower. Three more bedrooms in the home share a bathroom with a shower. Off of the main living space in the four season room, take in panoramic views of the property with an optional pull out sofa. Pond: Fully-stocked catch-and-release pond with picnic table

Pool: Large, heated pool with shallow end and stairs for entry as well as a deep end with waterslide. Open Memorial Day until the end of September.

Please note - the exterior of the property is under surveillance for the safety of our guests. Tampering with the devices is subject to additional fees or further action.

BASEMENT:

Please be advised, at this time, guests are not permitted in the basement area of the house as we are currently renovating. The basement door is locked with a sign stating "Employees Only".

We had a wonderful family get away for a couple days. Josh and Carissa have a beautiful home that was top notch for our trip. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The guys golfed at Hocking Hills and we made a couple short trips to Ash Cave, Le Petit Chevaliar Winery and Fox's High Rock Farm for the little one. We mostly enjoyed just being at the home to unwind.

Property was out and away from others which was nice, yet fairly close to many of the trails in Hocking Hills State Park. There were 10 in our party and there was plenty of room for all of us. The pool was a plus for the kids (and adults) after several hours of hiking. We saw deer and a wild turkey while there. Very peaceful.

The house was perfect for our family vacation in Hocking Hills. It had plenty of room, a beautiful setting, and the pool was a big hit with the kids. We loved going on all the trails throughout Hocking Hills, and this was the perfect location.

Stayed here with a group of friends for our annual girls trip! The house was perfect, clean and comfy. Easy check in/out. Had some questions during our stay, which were answered promptly! Pool with slide was the highlight! Would definitely stay again

This place is great!!!

The house is very clean and there is a lot of room! We had our family there and there were 11 ppl total and we never felt crammed. The pool, hot tub and outdoor space is just awesome!! The fire pit area was perfect…made s’mores with the kids ❤️ They had all the amenities and things we needed. Would definitely recommend this place to stay and hope we get to come back one day!!!

Amazing property and amenities

Our family of 11 celebrated mom/grandma’s #80. It was a stunning setting to enjoy family time (especially the pool in July!) and hike a few areas of Hocking Hills. The large kitchen and grill were perfect for all of our needs. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. You will not be disappointed!

We enjoyed our time at The Grounds with our three young kids. The water slide was a hit! We used the firepit every night. We walked to the pond every day. The kids loved it so much that our hikes were short and our time at the house as a family was the highlight.

We loved the view. The house was as expected from the pictures. The pool was the biggest hit! Instructions for how to use the hot tub and the pool pump would have been helpful. We plan to return in a year or two. Great place - peaceful and beautiful!

first trip to Hocking Hills

Our family really enjoyed our first trip to Hocking Hills. The house and property were very clean. It's also close to Hocking Hills State Park allowing for almost daily hiking trips. The only issue we had (with being in a remote area) was connectivity problems with the GPS. However after the first few days, we knew how to get around.

Chillin' in Ohio's Hocking Hills

If you're looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway, this is the VRBO for you. Beautifully appointed and spacious home which is ideal for two families: Mimi & Papa, 2 Grandboys & their Mom & Dad. Kitchen is well appointed, you can do most all of your cooking/dining on site. Boys enjoyed many hours in the pool and hot tub and fishing in the pond at the bottom of the hill. Recommend pontoon rental on Lake Logan...there's a place to anchor and swim! And, of course, there are endless opportunities for hiking in the scenic Hocking Hills State Park.

Hello, We loved staying at the grounds. When is the basement to be done? We have more family and they would love it. 2 things: something is funky with the septic tank, kept getting smells from the toilet would definitely have a colindar.

Fun and peaceful hocking hills getaway

My family and I celebrated my birthday at this beautiful and private home in hocking hills. We loved the pool and hot tub and made most of our meals at the house. Home was clean and cozy. Enjoyed the beautiful view from the house and morning coffee on the swing watching deer eat from the apple tree. Great location close to caves. My husband and I appreciated that we were safe riding our motorcycle there- road going to the property was nice and driveway is paved. Owners were responsive to questions and were gracious to let us extend our stay because we were enjoying our time so much! Thank you for sharing your amazing home with others. We would love to return.

Overall fantastic property, but horrible issue during our stay that was not resolved.

Overall the property is wonderful. But upon check-in there was a horrible sewer smell in the Master bath that spread into Master bedroom. Also this same smell was somewhat noticed in the other bathroom, but not as pronounced. Notified owners, but unfortunately this issue remained during our whole stay. There are just 2 bathrooms in the house, so the Master bath had to be used. This issued made for a very unpleasant stay. The rest of the house was great, pool and hot tub wonderful.

Hi Kathy! Thank you for your review. We were informed of the sewer smell on the 2nd day of your arrival. Since you were only there for one more day, this did not leave us a lot of time to contact the sewer company and have the smell remediated. After your check out, maintenance conducted a service call for the sewer smell, and they said the only thing found was excrement left in the guest bathroom (left by the guests), which must have been the source of the smell. We are sorry this impacted your stay.

3 Day Weekend Getaway with Friends

We had a group of 10 people stay at the house and had an amazing time. We make an annual summer trip down to Hocking Hills from all over the state and this year did not disappoint. The property is quite remote, and situated on an amazing piece of property with incredible views. We woke up each morning to the sun coming up over the valley. It was beautiful. The inside is well furnished with comfortable couches, comfortable beds, and well decorated. Frankly, we didn't spend much time inside. The outside entertaining area is second to none. We make a HH trip every year and this was by far the best set up. The pool, hot tub, grill, firepit etc. are all in the same general area and our large group was able to all stay together as a result. The pool is beautiful and quite large. The only negative thing I can say about this place was that there were only 4 lounge chairs and we found ourselves trading off from time to time. 10/10 will absolutely stay here again. The owners were responsive with questions before and even during our stay. One of our top HH trips without question!
