From the moment you enter this property, you're in for something rarely found in Cambria: Great views, PLUS just 5 minutes from all the tourist attractions Cambria has to offer, AND YET, peace and quiet. We had a very relaxing time here, enjoyed watching the sunsets every evening, and spotting the wildlife that often wanders by.

What wonderful guests. So glad the weather cooperated. We try our best to prepare for longer stays. The south facing deck is the morning spot. The front deck is the sunset spot. I hope you visit us again.
Upon entering the house the first thing you see is the stunning ocean view! The home is lovely, clean, tastefully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the location up on the hill - and the close proximity to shops, restaurants and the Moonstone Winery! The daily walks on the boardwalk next to the ocean were a favorite, and the deer, wild turkeys and variety of birds were fun the watch. The host was terrific, and was very responsive. Cambria is a wonderful little gem, and we will be back.
We spent 4 months in the Keenen family home. The house is located in an ideal location. In a very quiet location and about 15 minutes walk from the beach. The house has been remodel with great taste. Beds are so comfortable. Richard is an exceptional host, he was able to answer all our questions quickly and even more. Cambria is a little corner of paradise that must be discovered.

This property is amazing. Perfect location for peaceful and quiet getaway with everything you need to stay connected, or disconnected if you wish. Perfectly appointed home with great views and wildlife everywhere. The host is very responsive and took care of everything we needed, without us having to ask. We loved the gourmet kitchen and spent many nights cooking and grilling while watching the amazing sunsets.

Thanks Bryan!
You left the home spotless and we so appreciate you taking good care of the home. I hope you come again! Thanks again for the great review.
We could not have asked for a more responsive and helpful host as Richard Keenan. Our 3 weeks in the Keenan family home were exceptional. All accommodations were as described and more. Very convenient location. Home was clean, nicely furnished, and with comfortable beds and bedding. Check out the suggestions guests have written in their guest book for some great ideas on things to do, restaurants, etc. Loved the wildlife that came onto the property on a daily basis, the gorgeous view, and the quiet solitude this rental provided. Our daughter was able to work remotely, which was a bonus. Highly recommend. Many thanks to the Keenan's for sharing their family home!

About the host
Hosted by Richard Keenan
This was the family home of the local pharmacist and his wife and 4 kids. Purchased in 1971, the family of 6 often met for holiday with two graduating from Coast Union High School and all attended Cal Poly SLO. We wanted to keep the home in the family for get togethers and a vacation spot for grandchildren.
Why they chose this property
Beautifully updated. This Cambria property has a warm open south facing deck with views of open space where wildlife is often sighted. The westerly ocean views are highlighted by tall Monterey pine trees. A very peaceful and private location with distant neighbors. The steep private drive separates the home from the street and is elevated high enough for ocean views. There is a newly added turn around or parking spot for a larger vehicle.
What makes this property unique
Seldom can you find a home in Cambria on a half acre. There is a private paved driveway leading up to the parking area and access to both the lower and upper levels. It is also unique with forest views to the east and ocean views to the west.
