Cleaning was mediocre. Bathroom needs new door, wax cleaned up off the floor, replace shower curtain (mold). Deck was dirty. Chair had a hole in it, rug needs replaced, the BBQ was disgusting, dirty and rusty. The floor had not been swept off forever. The TV remote did not work
PRO: Roomy and bright 1970's construction (popcorn celings and colored bathroom fixtures.) Pleasant and quiet. Nice kitchen/dining. Golf course view from living room and master . Very clean. Comfortable beds. CON: The property does not have A/C as advertised, but rather a loud swamp cooler in the living room that was not connected to a water source ( therefore, just a big fan). Casper can get hot in the summer, The toilet should be upgraded to a taller stool, as it's too short for most adults. Bathroom sink water pressure very low. Wndow blinds difficult or impossible to open/close.
This was a nice alternative to a hotel room for a great value. For 95/night we got 2 bedrooms, a living room with a big comfy couch and a large TV, and a full kitchen. It was your typical 1980's split level 4plex woth modest updates. Carpet could use updating.
I didn’t think about checking to see if they have Central Air Conditioning, it was in the high90’s when we arrived and the temperature in the unit was 89. They had a wall air conditioning unit that didn’t do much good. The filter was very dirty with a full bucket of dirty water sitting under the unit on the deck. It cooled down at night, but I was afraid to open the windows above our bed because the windows and screens were so full of cobwebs. The main living area was very dusty, but the beds, kitchen and bathroom seemed clean enough. I’ve always had good luck with VRBO’s, but I was disappointed with this one.
Everything was as expected and described and was very comfortable! Great set up with the two bedrooms on opposite ends, comfortable beds and very accessible to Casper mountain and getting into Casper! Very quiet and lovely outdoor area. Would definitely stay again, it was great!
Property location and facilities were wonderful. We hosted our daughter in law’s family for several meals along with 2 toddler grandchildren; spacious enough to hold 8-10 people.
The townhome is nice and was a perfect place for me to stay to play in the golf tournament.
The only downside is the property is dated and could use some renovation.
Otherwise, everything was good and communication with the landlord was punctual.

Sub-par
I attended an event at the club house, so the location was great for me. The house was clean, however there were no curtains on the bedroom windows, making it impossible to sleep in when the sun comes up. Also, the blinds were all broken. None of the channels on the TV worked in both the bedroom and the family room due to poor internet connection. It was 78 degrees outside and the heat was on in the house so it unbearably warm. There were missing lightbulbs in the bathroom. There was also a very musty smell. I dont typically rate places I stay, but I feel like there are simple fixes that could make this place more comfortable and inviting. bathroom bathroom. family was th
DO NOT STAY HERE! The unit is in a run down building in a sketchy neighborhood. It is completely misrepresented on VRBO. There were two work trucks with trailers parked horizontally across the parking spaces the entire time. The unit itself is run down and DIRTY. The photos are not current. The unit was filthy. Dirty floors, moldy shower curtain, grimy windows, broken blinds, dirty trash can in the kitchen, stained bath towels that should be rags, hole in the bathroom door, melted candle wax on the floor, the outlets did not work in the bathroom or back bedroom. We killed a COCKROACH in the living room. You have to stand on the couch to turn on the swamp cooler unit. There were leftover coffee grounds in the coffee maker from previous use. The patio has broken furniture. If it wasn't so late, we would have left immediately. Shame on Opitmus for allowing a property in this condition to be listed as a rental.

Adequate lodging on a budget
The facilities were as described in the pictures. However, the towels were dirty and had hair on them. There also were stains on the carpet and on the bathroom floor.
Overall the property is just really dated. The bathroom had a hole in the door and some sort of bright pink staining on the floor. The blinds in the master bedroom were broken and we couldn’t fully close them to block light out.
The view out back at night was really beautiful.

Not a great experience
We were not very pleased with the overall stay at this property. When we arrived, we found that there were stains on the towels in the bathroom, hair in the bottom of the shower, and the microwave above the stove didn't work. There was a second microwave, so it worked out fine. The overall cleanliness of the home was not exceptional. A hotel room would have been cleaner than this. The pictures that we looked at before booking this did not accurately display what the home looked like. I would not recommend this home to another family.
It was a very comfortable and nice stay we had! Decent neighborhood and having a golf course behind was nice! The back deck was lovely because their were deer, a bluejay, and rabbits that came by. Beds and couch were comfy!
Only complaint was another guest in the downstairs apartment thought our place was theirs. Not sure if he misunderstood which one or was told wrong. There are 3 units and we were not told which one was ours. Codes unlocked ours and pictures looked correct so I assumed we were in the right one. I messaged owners and they confirmed we were in the right one after the other guests walked into ours. No harm done except freaking out my teens. I recommend staying there for sure!
One washer and dryer for the whole building to use. Have to stand on the sofa to reach the controls to the air conditioner (after you find it) the neighbor had to help us, the thermostat does not control the air. Very warm in unit when we arrived late at night after driving all day. Some of the plug ins do not work. So can not plug the box fan in everywhere to try to cool the rest of the unit with the one air conditioning window unit. This is a 5 room unit with the air conditioner in the living room. Have to push cool air down the hall to the other rooms.
Highly disappointed. The property was not well maintained or clean. Contacted the owner twice about the broken microwave. Responded to me only once. Said would fix but didn't. No response to second request. The swamp cooler didn't perform like an AC unit. Uncomfortable days & evenings. Security lacking. Came back to unit one day with the main building & our room unlocked. WHAT?!?!?!? How did that happen? The place was grimy including the towels. Desperately needs a deep cleaning & some maintenance. Yuck!
Exactly what we needed for our 3 day trip to Casper. Having been born and raised there, I know that WY weather is unpredictable, and while it wasn't 30+ inches, we did get an unexpected few inches of snow during our stay. Despite this, our unit was warm and inviting, perfect for my husband, doxies and I to catch up with friends over a few meals. Love, love, love that it was a pet friendly rental! Kitchen is equipped with thoughtful ammenities like a Keurig. Toaster and even an InstantPot. Also laundry on site which was wonderful since we didn't pack our suitcase around snowfall and needed an extra change of clothes. Check-in and Check-Out were a breeze. Everyone we encountered in the neighborhood was friendly and accommodating. Though it was too cold to have coffee on the deck, we enjoyed watching the deer and geese on the golf course, and even saw a few golfers once the snow had melted. We were thoroughly impressed with our stay, and the friends we visited with had nothing but kind things to say. I know that the building was originally built in the 70s but there have been some upgrades that make the stay more comfortable. Don't worry about the retro colored tub and toilets-the shower heads are awesome and the water pressure is was fantastic. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
