This is a true gem. Old but updated cabin so you get the best of both worlds. The kids had a blast and this was awesome to have family members out for a day without houses and people right next to you. Storm came through...a bog was floating towards the island. The kids thought that was pretty cool. We will definately be back!
Overall it was a fun experience. Wish i had a bigger boat at the time but made the trip. Had a little friend running around at night stealing our peanut butter cups lol. But overall the place was nice and we had a great time
Simply wonderful. The memories made here will last our family a lifetime. Everything you need all in one beautiful place. Very clean, had everything you need for a getaway plus included extras. Our kids loved the kayaks and the sandbar near the island gives a great place to enjoy the water. Fishing was great! Great communication with owner, they are very sweet and helpful. Great experience!

Island living
Sweet cabin and island that fit our small family nieces and nephews comfortably. The beach was nice, and the water perfect for fishing and swimming. We were disappointed by the sandbar boats that piled up from 1-6 in the afternoon. Many boats brought loud music and awful language. Some boats brought very sweet families. Either way, it was a surprise to share our sweet little island and beach with so many partiers. At one point 15 boats and pontoons were parked in front of the beach. Boaters let their dogs up to go to the bathroom on the island and many boaters stayed until supper time. The owners were excellent to work with and very responsive.

There are two weekends during the year that the island has a big showing, the 4th of July and the annual “BobShow Weekend” which is a concert that is performed at the island (in the water not ON the island)
Some guests love the attraction if the sandbar and boats and some prefer the quiet weekends. I am so sorry that it was so busy for your group over the 4th of July. The sandbar which surrounds the island on one side is a big attraction on the lake, but it seems that it was too much for your group and so we are sorry that put a damper on your weekend and that is reflected in your overall review and rating. We hope you will come back on a non-holiday weekend for a visit!
